I've been to my local goodwill, all they have is CRTs and shovelware PS2 games. Also, I didn't mean permanantly, just to install SL seing as how to PS3 disk drive is pretty great.

Yes, but it's impossible. I'm not sure what part of that you're missing. You cannot use a PS3 (which is a computer of its own) as a disk drive. It doesn't work that way. Your best bet would be to borrow another computer and burn Snow Leopard to a flash drive. That, or just download an .iso, and install off that.

It's really not worth the hassle man. Plus it's not even possible.
I know it's not possible, there have been multiple posts indicating. I'm burning the ISO to my 8GB SD Card right now.

I ended up having to go on my old computer and put the iso on the sd card, then go on the mac and properly make it bootable.

I use Snow Leopard on my MacBook, but I don't see a reason to backtrack.
I only use it because I never felt need spending good beer money on the upgrade.

Lol that's absolutely ridiculous. You're not forced to use any of the features based on iOS ones. The only reason to run snow leopard is if you nee Rosetta.
I normally use the iMac G3 to play Mac ports of games, [URL="http://macintoshgarden.org/"]Macintosh Garden[/URL] is where I find the games. (Wolfenstein 3D on Macintosh is great, but you'll also need a compatible mouse)
