oh for fuck's sake it's you
The only reason to use Snow Leopard is Rosetta
Multi-tasking is much better in Lion.

its me
WHY, GARRY? WHY?
I'm just... Going to go cry now...
Not if you add it time wise.
anyways, this is Apple discussion - this probaly doesn't belong :v:
When do you guys think Apple will ship Haswell? Summer?
I don't think so, it doesn't seem like Apple to be in cahoots with Intel about Haswell.
Hey flash, dad's starting to get a little impatient, hows selling your stuff coming along?
The only reason to use Snow Leopard is Rosetta

Multi-tasking is better in Lion and memory management is far better in Mountain Lion. You can still use Rosetta in Lion though.
*Edit:
Whoops, I guess Rosetta doesn't work under Lion.

No you can't.

Considering they've been using Intel processors since 2006, I'd love to hear your reasoning as to why it doesn't seem like Apple.

And - power reduction is a huge boost regarding their macbooks and the improved integrated graphics is just a no-brainer. I was just wondering if they were going with it early.
Probably earlier than other manufacturers, but how early nobody knows but them.

Because PPC and Intel aren't "Real Macs"... Real Macs use a Motorola 68000 processor, obviously.
It's very blatant that Apple influences Intel greatly and definitely has some extent of insider knowledge, Intel has been saying that since a few years after Apple made the move to Intel and weren't even near as big as they are now. The Haswell IGP targeting the GT 650M performance wise wasn't just some random decision, Apple wants it for powering their 13" retina display and for switchable graphics with a likely more powerful GPU in their 15" one.

It doesn't seem like them to me to shoehorn something that will be very new at the time into a Mac they likely already have designed with working prototypes.

Intel has had working Haswell prototype silicon since 2011. I don't see what issue there would be with giving Apple chips to test in prototype Macs.

Kaabii... Logic doesn't exactly... Work with Mystlight. We shall ignore him until he finishes pooing on the thread.
is the guy shining a torch through or something?

it certainly wouldn't be from the laptop itself since the backlight is used to light to apple, not a separate set of leds.
It looks like light is bleeding through the apple shaped brand-whore hole in the back of the lid.
yeah, i don't think it's a common problem.
Will the iPhone 4 get iOS7?
Will the iPhone 4 get iOS7?
No one is certain yet. We will have to wait until wwdc
They still sell it so it's pretty likely.
If the iPod touch 4 gets IOS7, i wonder how horribly it will run.
Apple still selling that thing is irresponsible. Modern apps crash on it, it's slow and stuttery, with a disgusting display and build that even a rubber case will scratch and scuff. They should just make a 16GB iPod Touch 5th gen for $250 or something. The reason why less people are buying it is because for $30 more you can jump from a 32GB iPod Touch to a 16GB iPad Mini.
I remember when everyone had a fourth gen iPod Touch. Because parents would get their kids one for xmas or a birthday because it was $199. $299 sounds a lot less affordable, and although I've seen a few of them I don't see them near as often as the fourth gen.
My iPod touch is the first one i bought, nothing got replaced on it while everyone around me kept breaking theirs.
So my friend gave he his magic mouse to go along with my apple bluetooth keyboard, and I'm not sure how to hold it without making a weird grip and cutting the sides of my hand. Who designed this thing again? It's not the hockey puck but...fuck.
I just clawgrip it. I don't like apple mice.
[editline]26th May 2013[/editline]
I do kinda like the magic trackpad though.
That's the mouse they make that I would buy if I had a mac, although my plans involve getting a macbook so that makes it redundant.
[editline]26th May 2013[/editline]
Oh god. I'm using this on my Windows PC and I just realized the scroll gestures ain't gonna work. Well this was an interesting experiment but I guess that ends it. The pointer accuracy sucks anyway, just makes me remember why I buy wired mice.
It looks puurdy next to the wireless keyboard though.
[editline]26th May 2013[/editline]
Also this thing has the nicest battery slot ever. Those metal pegs are so much nicer than springs.
I've had an iPod Touch 3G, bought it pretty much when it came out, still works like a dream.
A friend of mine bought the same product when it came out, now it's fucked, battery won't hold any current at all.
Also I think this is my first post in the thread, been just following this for a few weeks now, hello everyone!
I really dislike all the modern Apple mice to be honest
they focus more on minimalism and design than comfort

Their mice aren't comfortable, no. I don't really like their keyboards either.
I do love their tower designs though, if I could get a hold of a larger-than-large tower and toss my parts in there, that'd be fantastic. They've by far got the best architecture for minimalism (and general part management) that I've ever seen.
