sharepod can export music i think
sharepod can export music i think
I've got my music on my computer you wouldn't believe how long it took me to find sharepod, I don't know why but all I found was crappy programs with 100 song limits unless you payed :v:
Anyone ever use Figure by propellerhead? They're the dudes who made Reason if you don't know. It's a fun as hell app to play around with.
I used to be an avid Mac hater, but i recently got a used macbook air. I now understand why people buy macs (build, design). But deep inside, I still feel like the price and hardware are not up to par with Microsoft computers.
The price is higher. That's what you pay for the OS, design, build, and hardware. It has better compatibility between parts and I've never had a part fail in my Mac (and I have issues all the times with my windows computer)

To be fair, that MBA will probably be running in twenty years. You couldn't say the same for a Windows laptop.
To be fair, that MBA will probably be running in twenty years. You couldn't say the same for a Windows laptop.
With the temps it can get up to, the glued in battery, wear on the custom SSD, no it would not.
probably more like 10 years, and even then it'll be hardware outdated you can get a nice old C2D MBP for like $400 used in good condition... but it's also a C2D...
To be fair, that MBA will probably be running in twenty years. You couldn't say the same for a Windows laptop.
Depends, really. I don't want to start an argument over this, but quality varies a lot from laptop to laptop. I've dropped my (pretty darn cheap) laptop multiple times, and though the paint job looks pretty bad now after three years of wear and tear, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the structure itself. The temps are great as well; ~75-80 under prime95, and I haven't done any dust jobs on it for three years. Yes, Apple laptops are of nice quality, but yeah, you can say the same for a Windows laptop in many cases.
any machine unless defective will last a great deal of time, properly maintained.
except for a holden BAZINGA [editline]11th March 2013[/editline] wait fuck this isn't the cars thread :v:
any computer machine, and holdens are holdens so I'd consider that a defect :v:
You don't know of many windows laptops do you (hint hint thinkpad) 20 years for any computing device is insane though
Will probaly run, but then again - you're probaly not rocking a 56k modem anymore?
I think my HP 6730s could still be alive in 20 years, tough as nails that laptop is. And it only gets to 60 celcius tops.
any machine unless defective will last a great deal of time, properly maintained.
most windows laptops are defective it's almost like a race to the bottoms has side effects that may not be desirable
most windows laptops are defective it's almost like a race to the bottoms has side effects that may not be desirable
Why the whole 'Windows' definition? More and more install Linux on old computers you know.
basically nothing comes preloaded with linux so
calling them non-apple laptops makes a lot more sense and is actually correct though [editline]11th March 2013[/editline] it's as if you're saying they're masterpieces as soon as you put something that isn't windows on one [editline]11th March 2013[/editline] Similar to the way people often call Macintosh-PC's Macs, as if they aren't personal.
haha yeah i guess it might seem that way if you can't grasp context at all
haha yeah i guess it might seem that way if you can't grasp context at all
Might as well never use the right terminology for anything and rely on context then
"windows laptops" clearly refers to laptops manufactured for the purpose of running windows. you're reaching hilariously hard for no good reason
"windows laptops" clearly refers to laptops manufactured for the purpose of running windows. you're reaching hilariously hard for no good reason
I didn't even bring the topic up, so whatever. Talk like so if you wish, it's not exactly affecting me.
"windows laptops" clearly refers to laptops manufactured for the purpose of running windows. you're reaching hilariously hard for no good reason
lol, no machine is made for a specific OS, unless it's one of those secureboot machines.
lol, no machine is made for a specific OS, unless it's one of those secureboot machines.
yeah except maybe every machine that doesn't officially support another operating system with drivers ever idiot [editline]11th March 2013[/editline] the fact that this is an actual point of contention that has taken up more than like a single post of discussion says more about your ability to comprehend text than anything else. sorry about your crippling lack of awareness. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - MaxOfS2D))
The only times you would really see that is with embedded systems, and game consoles. It may have no drivers, but they still can be developed as easily as the windows drivers were. Then again, almost all laptops, desktops and servers have linux drivers. go away, you're shitting up the thread.
I've always wondered How does the macbook air cool itself?
IIRC, it sucks cool air through the keyboard and blows it out through where the hinge is. [editline]12th March 2013[/editline] That or it sucks cool air through the middle of the hinge vent and blows the hot air out through the sides.
