Might be trading my 2009 15" MBP for a 2011 13" with a cracked screen tomorrow. Easy $30 replacement. It's the i7 model too.
WWDC's gonna be interesting
I hope the next OS X version is announced, no reason to get excited for iOS 7 because the 4th gen iPod is trash with iOS 6 as it is
WWDC's gonna be interesting
I need to know what the next generation of Mac Pro is going to be.
I need to know what the next generation of Mac Pro is going to be.
I think it might be killed off, Apple seems to have abandoned it's Pro market.
Killing off the Mac Pro would be a bad mistake for them to make.
Bit of a pipe dream with nothing to suggest it, but if they wanted something to wipe the drool off the floor with - 4K workstation. Boom.
you could say apple is abandoning the pro market through - they've neglected their pro software and the mac pro hasn't even been near an update. their macbook pros have limited connectivity for a pro environment requiring you to pay $30 for ethernet, firewire etc. if apple drop the cMBP and Mac Pro, you'll see a hell of a lot of pros move over to Windows.

If apple just EOL'd the iPod touch 4, are developers just suddenly gonna drop support now?
Pepper;40909671']If apple just EOL'd the iPod touch 4, are developers just suddenly gonna drop support now?
within a year, i give it.
Looks like this'll be the year i'm replacing it then. Any idea on when the iPad mini 2 is coming out?
Killing off the Mac Pro would be a bad mistake for them to make.
I agree, but the Mac Pro has never had as mug attention as the PowerMac g5 did. And look at FCX, final cut used to be the industry standard but they made it iMovie pro so now it's impossible to a pro to use. It's less powerful then Sony Vegas, really.

I still feel like Adobe products just are a bit quicker on Mac for some reason.

Also, for the PowerMac G5 clarification, I was saying that over time they've stopped caring/talking about the Mac Pro, since there's been less updates or coverage over time, to the point where now I feel like Phil Schiller was the only person keeping it alive, and you don't really hear about him too much anymore after Jobs died. Also, Tim Cook doesn't know what the fuck he's doing.
Pepper;40910739']Looks like this'll be the year i'm replacing it then. Any idea on when the iPad mini 2 is coming out?
I'd imagine sept/oct but please don't put much credibility in the insane rumours. I said it when people were talking of a 7" 1080p nexus 7 that was somehow actually cheaper or the same price, and I'll say it here. Even with apple's high volume orders, economies of scale, etc, they can't produce a 2048x1536 mini and keep at $329. They'd need to use the A6X, and at that point what exactly makes the full sized one worth buying? Even some A7X in the big one wouldn't be even remotely worth the $170 premium over the mini. So really I see three options. Apple increases the price of the mini and makes it a high spec device, that's option one. The second is to use something like 1600x1200 or whatever is usable at 4:3 and still surpasses 240ppi. The third option would to make the mini II and iPad 5 or whatever is out separated by a small price difference, give or take $30-50, and replace the old iPad 2 they keep selling with the mini as the lower bracket device at $329. But anyway, mini II probably sept/oct like the original. Oh and a retina mini is a thicker, heavier mini. The only reason the Mini keeps the battery life of the original iPad 2 with the same HW but smaller battery is because it uses the 32nm A5 and a more efficient display.
Goddamn Angry Birds lags on iPod Touch 4. It's TRASH
I love the new WWDC app. Hopefully a sign of big things to come. Although it stutters when scrolling on my iPad Mini. Not very Apple in that regard.
I searched for it and couldn't find it.
i can't wait to get my galaxy s3. this 3gs is a complete heap now. [editline]5th June 2013[/editline] this isn't an anti apple comment btw, i would love an iphone 4s/5 but i got the s3 for free so...
Goddamn Angry Birds lags on iPod Touch 4. It's TRASH
Remember when it ran at the retina resolution and not like a heap of shit?
Ipad mini 2 will probably be announced about 2 months from now.
i gonna sell mine before then so I can buy an iPad mini two think the current smart cover and cases will fit it? the ipad itself is mint since it's been in a case and smart cover since day one [editline]6th June 2013[/editline] Eh fuck it, I'll sell it all off and buy a MBA.
Depending on the specs for the new MBA I may sell my old 2008 MB and get one.
I was just gonna snag a used one off eBay. I don't particularly use a laptop very often, let alone game on my laptop, so I just need something light with good battery life. The dual core i5 version is an attainable price and powerful enough for me (and hell, the processor still kicks the shit out of my A6-3400M)
I use my MB for work, and while its 5 years old and still works it's starting to show its age.
Isn't that the C2D version? I can't imagine how slow that's feeling.
It's the low end model from when Apple first launched the aluminum MB/MBP. 2.0 C2D, 8GB 1066MHz, Nvidia 9400m, and a 120Gb OCZ SSD. It's old but still has some life left in it. Maybe I'll give it a 1TB hard drive to replace the SSD and use it watch all the shows I bought off iTunes.
At least it has a workable amount of RAM, SSD and not running Intel's horrible IGPs from that generation.
Yep. It even manages to play SC2 all on low at 30fps :v: [editline]6th June 2013[/editline] But once there's more than 20 units on the screen it turns into a slide show.
