That ain't bad.
If I were to sell off two of my laptops and my iPad, I could get:
~$330 from the iPad
~$270 from my Asus K53TA
~$230 from my Thinkpad X61
That's $830 bucks less shipping fees, so let's call it $800 even (although I'll certainly charge for shipping.)
So I can afford:

And still have enough to cover my car registration fees.
Mmmmmmmm...
I have some big decisions to make this year.
Do I want a new TV and a PS4, or a new MBA?
This is gonna be tough.
I know I go through hardware more than underpants but my use case for my laptop has changed. I don't game on it enough to be worthwhile. Maybe I don't need a laptop - I certainly don't use my iPad that much either. It's a $330 Netflix and YouTube machine.

if you like exclusives i would get the ps4
if you are an/a photographer or just need a laptop to surf the web get a mba
if you don't have an hdmi tv get the tv
Alright, is a used iPhone 4 a good deal for £90?
I wouldn't get it. I think it's gonna be axed soon
iOS 7 will be the end of the line for the iPhone 4.

MBA isn't a good choice for photographers beyond people taking smartphone/point and shoot pictures. You won't be able to see your images accurately.

FYI you only use "an" when the next word starts with a vowel, in the right context of course.
Nah dude, I know a couple An photographers.

There are exceptions. The purpose of "an" is to make a hard sound between two soft vowel sounds, so in the case of HDMI, in which the H is pronounced ay-ch, you don't want to have to say "ay aych dee em eye" because it's kind of awkward and not very clean. At least that's what I think, haven't had any english in a while.
Anyway, I opened my mid 2012 MBP today and the ESC key popped off. The key itself doesn't look broken but it won't snap back on easily, and I know the hinge thing and keyboard aren't broken. Should I just try to buy a replacement key?
There's a specific way to pop them on. I don't know how for MBPs, but a quick google should help you out.
Yeah I knew there were exceptions, I was just speaking of majority.
I bought an Apple TV today... Probably should have waited until after WWDC.
I don't think that matters as much considering it just does TV stuff.

Very true... All I needed was a way to stream stuff from my desktop or mobiles to my TV, and maybe play Netflix or Hulu.
It does that, I'm happy. And, if I'm not happy, the next one will probably be $100 too.
Dug up my old MacBook from more than a year of dusting down. Tried to fix it. Managed to get it booting, but now it doesn't display anything and the LED light is just on constantly. :(
The next one won't be different, the 3rd gen Apple Tv is the same fucking thing as the second gen.

I wouldn't say so, because the Apple TVs are built on the iPhone/iPad platforms... So it's likely it'll get an upgrade this generation.
That said, if it's anything worth waiting for is a different story.
What can the upgrade be? Hardware wise it's perfectly fine, all it could get is 4K support which is useless right now. The single core Cortex-A9 and SGX543MP2 do 1920x1080p60 decoding fine. Apple has been iterating it, but only by altering the A5 chip to continually be more efficient. IIRC, it's no longer a faulty A5 with a disabled core but actually an A5 designed for one core alone.
I wish WWDC would hurry up, I want to order a rMBP
I'm hoping for the new OS X
All they could possibly do to improve the Apple TV at this point would be an app store...
Which they did with the iPhone... Hm.
Just got this dock today with the 12W charger I ordered. It's pretty nice and even seats my iPad mini.

Screw those, I want my shiny Haswell MBP. Throw my old SSD in that and boom.

Apple's only offering rMBPs with SSDs now - it's the reason they've got a weak taper. (I suspect it also helps quite a bit with power consumption, if the reports that Apple's hiked up the factory clocks on the 650M all the way to 900MHz are true.)
(edit: changed "dissipation" to "consumption"; sorry for the brainfart)

They never offered anything but SSDs in rMBPs.

My current laptop has an SSD in it, just switch those 2.
