The normal MBP uses SATA like anyone else. My dad's got a 1.5tb HDD and a 512GB SSD in his MBP.

I just picked up a 2011 13" MBP, it currently has Mountain Lion on its hard drive. I want to toss my SSD in it, but I also want to keep Mountain Lion, and all I have is a Snow leopard disk. Is there anyway I can do this?

Carbon Copy Cloner? Clone it, hook up the SSD as an external, and copy it back. Oh, Mountain Lion also has the recovery partition, so, uh, fuck if I know if it'll work then.

I'd imagine with Haswell and a new GPU on the 15" things should be up to snuff.

I just didn't consider the regular MBP as a relatively new laptop (Even though it's been gradually upgraded).
