And there's a 256 gb version of the 11 inch for 100 euros more than the base 13 inch model.

Yeah but you're ignoring the resolution of the display, SDXC slot, and the greater battery life.

I'm not one of those super anti metro people, I actually enjoy using Windows 8 more than 7, but it doesn't really add anything new. Sure, it improves existing stuff, but I get the feeling that it isn't moving anywhere meaningful in the desktop space. Touch isn't going anywhere on desktops, they aren't pushing standards(besides touch...), they aren't pushing their near monopoly on the market, they're just sitting there because they're too big to fail right now
