While I'm here, anybody know a network monitor (preferably one that goes in the top bar) that can also show me which processes/programs are taking network usage?
Bit late, but Little Snitch is really good.
Can't believe I never noticed that the clock icon is dynamic in ios7.
Just noticed that too 0_0

I really like the way having phone apps open is handled now.
I'm going to be picking up a MacBook Air 13" tomorrow - I'm just not sure if it's worth getting one with an i7 or just keeping it i5?
Would it make any difference to whatever basic gaming that could be done on it?

It would make a little difference but not enough to justify the price increase. Put the money into storage instead.

On a processor like that, save the money. Maybe get a USB 3.0 drive or spend it on the RAM instead.

You can only upgrade the storage on the higher end 13 inch MBA, just a quick fyi.
The performance difference between the i5 and i7 is negligible, certainly at the cost. They both have deceptively low base clocks but turbo into much higher clocks.

Especially since it's a dual core i7 on the mba which really just means a bump in cache and clock. You're not moving to quad core silicon.

And hyperthreading, though. A modest improvement in applications that can make use of it.

Though doesn't the i5 have hyperthreading, too? Yeah, no reason to move up but name.
I'm glad iOS 7 for iPad has a weather app if that leaked video is anything to go by. I didn't see stocks or passbook though, which is really annoying. I have a cellular iPad. What exactly makes it less capable than an iPhone to use those apps. I won't complain about a phone app since the iPad is so big, but it should have a stocks app and passbook and a nice calculator, maybe with some graphing functions.
Landed up picking up a 13" MBA, i5, 4GB, 256GB
It'll do me.

Ha cool, I just got mine earlier today (thought 128gb) Gotta say the boot times are amazing.
[editline]20th June 2013[/editline]
Also should I buy pages or word for mac?

7 seconds to the login screen, feels good.

depends
the office suite is good (and i switched from iwork) because it is very similar to on windows, has the same functions and uses the same formats. stops you saving as a .pages in a rush and being up shit creek.

I will agree on this. For most people Word is necessary even though you can just save in another format.
Pages is superior IMO though.

I agree with pages being superior, but everything is .doc. Stuff can get messed up when saving to that from pages.
Since pages is like $20 though, someone can just get word and get pages down the line. I know I'll buy it if you need the desktop pages to use it in iCloud, even though I don't have a mac yet.
My ipod touch 4g was just sitting on my desk, hadn't been touched in hours, when it crashed and rebooted itself. When it started back up the mail app was missing; anyone know what's going on/how to fix it?
It's jailbroken with Activator, SBSettings, and Springtomize installed.
Hey, I can use an Airport Express as a wireless adapter by connecting it to my wireless network and plugging an ethernet cord into the back of it, right?
My current wifi card's on the flake, and nobody actually makes a decent PCI wifi card anymore. It's all gone to USB, which is silly, because USB doesn't offer near the throughput of PCI. And, you know, it clogs a USB port. I'm looking to get an Airport Express to replace it, but I want to be sure I can actually use it for that purpose.
So, to recap, my desktop's in a separate room from my router. I want to use an Airport Express as a second router, connected to the first one wirelessly, so I can connect my desktop to it through ethernet (and possibly connect my other devices wirelessly, since it's only got one ethernet port).
i dunno if that would work man
however you could look into ethernet plugs

the ones that use ac wiring
USB isn't any major bottleneck to wifi. I get the same speeds with the USB adapter in my desktop as the normal one in my laptop.
You can push about 60MBPS through USB2, wifi never pushes it to the limit.
PCIe or PCI WIFI cards are easily found on eBay.
So I realized how dumb I was for not having two factor authentication on my gmail, so I turned it on.
Except now I have no idea how to make it work with my iPad. Any ideas, anyone?

You need an application specific password. Just create one there, and put it into the iPad, and forget about it... forever.

well it worked, thank you good sir
Hey, it works! I'm now getting a full 30-40Mbps on my desktop, whereas before I was getting 2-5.
What I want to know is why Apple's the only company that can make a product that does this reliably. I know Netgear makes routers you can use as adapters, but they're flaky.
Apple has started publishing fragmentation data.

I'd imagine iOS 5 consists mostly of original iPads, and people with the 3GS and iPod Touch 4 who don't want to go to iOS 6 for fear of more performance issues.

Is there a way of dualbooting OSX 10.4 and OS 9.04 on a 700mhz flowerpot iMac?

I mean OS 10.x.
