How can I get new music on the iPhone then?
You'd move your music to the laptop.
-nevermind-
Oh, we've got Beta 5. Really soon 6_9 And Skype works, too!
Oh, we've got Beta 5. Really soon 6_9 And Skype works, too!
The new settings icons are nice but I REALLY preferred the old power off slide bars, just like the accept call bars.
I really hate the slide to unlock text. It's not transparent. It used to be white and fit by being the same as the clock, but now it's some weird form where it amalgamates the colors around it from your background and just stays that color. It looks bad because it doesn't fit, they should make it white again.

Is there a (free) program like fraps that can take screenshots for the mac? For some reason I can't use the built in feature on certain programs.
I get the feeling Aston Kutcher would paint Jobs as some kind of god at every corner, but I dunno. I don't think he fits the part at all.
That 70s Show ruined it for me. He is Kelso in everything now.

http://adwords.blogspot.ca/2013/08/attract-new-customers-with-local-ads-on.html I miss iOS 5 maps more than ever. The new maps app has horrible satellite images, and isn't very smooth. Google maps has better images, but performs even worse and has ads. It's funny how iCloud.com still uses Google maps for the find my iPhone part.
Those aren't intrusive ads at all, though. They're actually relevant to what you're doing, for the most part. But yes, we need a good maps app that isn't crap.
I've never seen a "relevant" ad in my life, nor have I ever clicked an ad and found a product or service I thought was useful. So to me, any ad is intrusive on the basis of being useless.
Have you used Google Now? It's basically all ads, but they're actually related in some way to what you're doing. I've played around with it a bit, it's not bad... I can see how it could be useful for Glass-users, and maybe smartphone people too.

I haven't noticed any ads in the Android app either, it just displays relevant cards like weather and traffic. [img_thumb]http://imgkk.com/i/azc-.png[/img_thumb]
Google Now has no ads for me on iOS or Android, what? [editline]9th August 2013[/editline] I think you're actually missing the point of Now. [editline]9th August 2013[/editline] Does anyone else feel like the UI on the Mini is scaled down a tad too much by default? I'm finding it hard to tap some buttons like I can on my iPad.

It's the exact same UI. I personally haven't had any issues.
just ordered my macbook pro aaaaahhhhhhhh
just ordered my macbook pro aaaaahhhhhhhh
Which model?
But it's not scaled down except to fit within the physical constraints of the display which is kind of necessary. It's the exact same UI. Maybe it's a digitizer problem of some sort, but that seems unlikely. [editline]9th August 2013[/editline] It's not device handicapping, but it's kinda annoying either way. Doesn't bother me too much. Why do Lightning -> AV adapters have to be so expensive? £40 is a rip.
Which model?
stock cMBP with anti glare
stock cMBP with anti glare
13 or 15?
13 or 15?
anti glare so 15

Edited: Also I was fine paying $45 for my digital AV cord because it's a little bit more than just a cord. http://www.extremetech.com/computing...ts-own-arm-soc Not so happy about the camera kit being two separate adapters that makes it cost more though. It's why I only bought the SD one.

[editline]9th August 2013[/editline]
that link is broken and i'm curious what's so great about the cord!
It has a SoC built in to the cable because of how the Lightning adapter works.
that link is broken and i'm curious what's so great about the cord!
Sorry, it got glitched and every time I try to edit FP posts the editor is completely blank. [editline]9th August 2013[/editline] Except for this post apparently.
Did Apple ever upgrade to the Fiber Optic thunderbolt variant, or are they still using the copper one?
Uh I don't think Intel ever really did optical cords. It wasn't needed because copper worked. There's like, one optical thunderbolt cable and it came out early this year for 30x the price of copper ones. Copper does the 20Gbps fine. When they get to 100Gbps they'll probably need to have it all be optical cords. [editline]9th August 2013[/editline] And I don't think the optical cord can do 10W power.
Makes sense. Good to see the "standard" has room for upgrades in the future, though... That's the way Firewire was built.

We got into completely wrong direction, and Google Maps helped us to get out of there. iOS maps are complete shit. Ovi(nokia) Maps are the best, in my opinion.
