Apple stuff holds onto it's value really well. My early 2008 imac 24" is still worth like £800
you must be dreaming still :v:
Apple stuff holds onto it's value really well. My early 2008 imac 24" is still worth like £800
Not really. Actually, I looked at some used MBPs here a few days back (a girl I know wanted advice on what to get), and it seems like the price drop is actually fairly consistent with (middle- to high-end) Windows PCs.
Gonna get my bathroom airplay'd up with speakers in the ceiling.. ordered this lot.. All together came to just under £150.. so I'll be really happy if it works out! I think you'd pay that for a half decent dock!
Quick question, why does the iphone 5 in black not have what i circled in the iphone 5 white? What is it btw? mic?
As far as I'm concerned Apple computers are useless at everything except multimedia purposes. They're also useless for playing games on. 1/100 games probably get released on Mac OSX. Mac OSX didn't get Half-Life 2 until 2010 (six years after the game originally came out). They are also made using old, outdated software. All of Apple's software is shit. A lot of files that you can use on PC can't be used on Mac OSX. They're very incompatible. They can't be modified very well. They're very annoying to use (the right-hand side of the mouse is defaulted to the primary button). All of Mac OSX's default settings are shit. Apple bring out a new iDevice every year that is slightly bigger or smaller than the previous version with a new software update installed on it, maybe a new pre-installed app and a slightly better quality inbuilt camera and new headphones so that you can cause twice as much ear damage as you previously could. You can get stuff from your computer on to your iDevice like 1/10 times. (User was banned for this post ("troll" - garry))
It does have it you just don't see it because it's black. It's a light sensor I think.
the ambient light sensor? Well the thing is, i have the iphone 5 in black and its not there while my sis's iphone 5 in white has it. My guess is for the black version its hidden in the phone behind the screen?
You can see it if you hold your phone against the light. I have the iPhone 5 too and can see it.

I sold my third gen iPad for $50 less than I had paid, 8 months later. I saw the Galaxy S3 selling for half of retail like six months later, and it looks like right now it can be grabbed cheaper than a used 4S sometimes where I live, despite the 4S being much older.

Of course you can be lucky when you sell a device as well.
Ladies and gentlemen... A troll. Wonder what compels them to act this way...
There's the saying that goes, the more fans someone has, the more enemies they have as well. Apple has become very popular, and people who haven't actually used Apple products look at them and go "But they're 10x expensive for the same hardware, and nothing ever changes in the iPhone, and the iPhone is so restricted" but I've known a lot of people who have hated Apple, then used one of their products and started to like them. Me being one of them :v: I used to hate Apple for the same reasons, but I realized that no phone I've had has given me a better experience than the iPhone. I went from using the iPhone 3G, to trying all different flavors of smartphones, Android, Windows Phone, and came back to the iPhone 4 and I think I'll be sticking with the iPhone for a while. Apple's computers seem really nice to use as well, but I haven't properly tested one out, though I am planning to convert my desktop PC to a hackintosh at some point
If you have the right hardware look into Kakewalk, it's a pretty easy hackintosh setup

For example, I'm looking at a listed Galaxy Tab 10.1 for $140 which retailed for $499, while someone who bought an ipad 2 for that price months earlier can get $300 if they kept it nice.
Considering how Haswell is coming out this year, would it be worth it to wait until a refresh with them to buy an MBA?
you must be dreaming still :v:
It was the highest end 24" they did, barring the RAM. 3.06GHZ core 2 duo 2GB RAM, i upgraded it to 4GB 500GB HDD, upgraded to 1TB 8800GS 512MB fresh copy of mountain lion And it's in immaculate condition with all the bits it came with.

http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac/imac The refurb store has 21 inchers iMacs for about 1.1K, and those are released in OCT 2012. I don't think people are willing to get your 2008 24' iMac for 1.2k usd although it was been maxed out when they can get a OCT 2012 21' iMac for 1.1k with very decent specs.

I know the Zenbook's I've seen being sold seem to be valued very well in relation to their original price.
That depends whether you like Windows though, in which I hate Windows, and I have good enough reason to say that since I've used it throughout my life
A quick Google brought this up "Poof is an Cydia app that enables the users of the device to hide the icons in the Springboard (What is Springboard?). It somehow makes them invisible, the only way to access them is to search them through the Spotlight Search or unhide them using the same app - Poof. Below are the steps to install Poof." http://myhowtodiary.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/how-to-hide-your-springboard-icons.html
spotlight isn't working
Hm I'm not quite sure then, you'd have to try different icon hiding apps. If none of them work, then there should be other ways to launch the applications (Activator, terminal etc)
spotlight isn't working
Is spotlight not working in general or just with poof? Did you disable it in Springtomize? I used to hide them with poof any was able to search them through spotlight.

An imac the same as the one you linked to with slightly worse specs is like £930 http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/specialdeals/mac/imac I'll admit, 800 is a bit optimistic, 700 then.
Wouldn't pay even £600 for a C2D mac.
Is there any way to download/replace album art on an iPod touch? (not ruling out jealbreaking, but that'd be a last resort) the way iPods do it is retarded, they make a cache and stick to that, instead of reading from the tags, now this is all well and dandy because it stops it having to scan each song for the artwork, but when the album art is wrong that's it, you're fucked sadly my iPod has decided that every song I add from now on will have Andrew WK's face on it, so I need help

RIP reel to reel tape deck, you probably won't be missed.
