I hope iOS 7 fixes my phones battery life I had 6.1.3 and everything was fine, then 1.4 came out and my phone just started dying rapidly. Also really excited for the quick menu like on Androids, I've always wanted a bar like that and I was actually going to buy an S4 cause of it.
Shit, iOS 6 has the worst battery time oh my god
so how do you get an iPhone 5's screen fixed?
so how do you get an iPhone 5's screen fixed?
I do it by going to Apple because the extra money is worth keeping my warranty intact and getting parts that are as good as the previous ones. But I'm sure lots of cell repair shops will do it for cheaper.
[editline]13th September 2013[/editline]
I would think they'd charge less than with prior iPhones too, since the design of the 5 makes it much easier to access and repair than the 4/4S design.

what do people do to protect these things?
what do people do to protect these things?
My protection for my phones and tablets has always been don't drop them and don't keep keys/sand in my pockets. I've always debated getting one of those glass screen protectors though.

yeah that was mine too but then I fucked up in a way that wouldn't normally happen, in fact this is my first electronic I've ever broken, no even damaged. So from now on I gotta be more prepared I guess.

???
So I posted this same question on Overclock.net:

ughhh
thanks for not doing this guys
overclock.net is horrible for almost everything
overclock.net is horrible for almost everything
agreed I only go there for whenever I want to see the consensus on say, motherboards for recently released CPU's, or maybe speakers and headphones.
At least they're not as bad as Tom's hardware....
Both are pretty bad but in the news threads overclock.net is far worse
so what are good cases for an iPhone? Otterbox?
I got a Speck case for mine. I think they're 50% off at Target until Sunday.

would that protect the screen? Or does the shock absorption somehow spare it?
It's got a rubber inside for shock absorption and a hard plastic outside, as for screen protection it just has the usual lip the would keep the screen off the ground if you lay your phone face down.
so if it were to fall and land screen facing down, it'd be protected?
pretty much
unless it fell on a rock or something not entirely flat
so how do you get an iPhone 5's screen fixed?
It's usually $35 or so for the 4/4s screens. We don't do 5's because it's cheaper to go to the apple store and have them give you a new phone.
so what are good cases for an iPhone? Otterbox?
I've got an Otterbox on mine. I can and do literally drop my phone for entertainment and reactions. It is pretty damn unable to break if you drop it on concrete.

How do the Armor and Defender models compare to each other? I'm guessing the Defender one's a lot worse since it's only a quarter of the price.

To be honest I don't know which one I have. It's the $50 one. I've had it since I got the phone nearly 2 years ago.

Sh-sha!
You said you didn't keep sand in your pockets... That's why I asked. What prompted that. You know.
So, anybody know anything about using a Macbook Pro as a desktop thing? I'd like to see just what my laptop is capable of, and maybe see if I do anything that requires my desktop. Do they make any sort of dock for it or anything?

did it come with a screen protector? Does it need a screen protector?

Look up Henge Docks. They make a really weird vertical dock (I.E. your MacBook is going to be standing on the charger side vertically) but it works and takes up less space than other docks.
Nothing official though.
is it ok to have a passlock on an iPhone when an Apple store repairs the screen? They don't need that disabled will they?

Nope, if you're walking into a store they will tell you if you need to do anything in particular.

good, but just in case I am hiding my Cydia app deep in a folder on the 2nd screen next to another folder :v:
I'm just going to say this: I think all the colors of the iPod Touch 5G look like ass. Like, there's that deep blue that I like, but it seems kinda girly.
