I had the blue and I loved it, though I'm a girly boy.
good, but just in case I am hiding my Cydia app deep in a folder on the 2nd screen next to another folder :v:
Don't do that. Restore it if you want to get it replaced. They will probably give you a new device and will have you to wipe your current one.

Plus they have you connect to the iPads they use over the Apple store wifi to check for issues and do an incident report. I'd bet my life that if they have access to crash reports and such on their diagnostic app, they probably can view apps and modifications too.
So they fixed my screen good as new even though I had it jailbroken (cydia hidden in folder), they never suspected a thing or mentioned anything :v:
thanks for the advice though even if I didn't do it (I got it fixed before it was posted anyhow) because that was me risking it
Noob Mac OS X question, I want to install something but can't because it requires admin. What I can do is drag the .dmg onto the launch dock and open it, and click the don't install button to just run the program without installing. Will this work with any .dmg (or whatever the file extension is)?
How about stuff from the App Store? I just find the .dmg elsewhere and do what I did with Chrome?

only if there is a dmg alternative
My mini just got knocked off a table in a freak accident and the glass shattered. Time to test out that Applecare+ I suppose.

the Apple Store has really good customer service
Oh I've been there, they're awesome. Unfortunately they're booked until a WEEK from now, which never happens at my local one and I'm sure it has to do with the new phones and iOS 7. So I'll try my luck without an appointment, probably just play dumb to the whole appointment concept since it's not exactly common.
Would it be a bad idea to sell my Unlocked GS3 and buy a new iPhone 4s
I just fancy a change, I've been using Android for years, and I want to sell this thing before it breaks again

Don't buy 4s, those have a little over two years left in them. Buy a 5S or 5C.

Agreed, I have a 4S cause I only need it for 2 years.

my plan would be sell it this time next year and upgrade to a 5s or whatever else
It's not a long term phone, I can't seem to keep a handset for more than over a year
[editline]17th September 2013[/editline]
And if I'm brutally honest I prefer the size/weight/aesthetics of the 4s more than any other iPhone
The iPhone 4/4S is an amazing example of good design. Dieter Rams 7th principle of good design.
Is long-lasting - It avoids being fashionable and therefore never appears antiquated. Unlike fashionable design, it lasts many years – even in today's throwaway society.
It looks just as modern and beautiful now as it did 3 years ago, and if they released that design today it'd still be considered amazing. I sure as hell can't say that about a single Android or Windows phone I've ever owned, especially since they were primarily Samsung.

I prefer it over the 5
It's weird I was thinking exactly the same thing you posted earlier today, make the design have no real set style and it'll always fit in no matter what
And I think the final straw was when the "hypaglazzee" coating on the back of my S3 started cracking and coming off and I got sick of needing to keep it in a tacky case all the time so it doesn't explode on impact with a blade of grass
So when will they start rolling out iOS 7 today?
So when will they start rolling out iOS 7 today?
It's tomorrow.
[editline]17th September 2013[/editline]
Though I guess it's Wednesday in Sweden. If it goes by how it rolled out last year it'll be 7PM your time.
It's tomorrow.
Darnit. It's the 18th already here, I thought the update would be time zone independent somehow

Used 5, 5C or 5S. It'd be a good idea to steer clear of the 30 pin dock connector since apple only sells two products with it now, the iPod Classic, and the 4S.

And the iPad 2 tucked back on Apple's site.
Quick question will IOS7 be available at 12:00 am? Or will it be later on tommorow?

Man, those 5S cyclone cores are absolute beasts. That dual Cyclone 1.3GHz A7 kicks the crap out of Qualcomm's 2.3GHz Krait 800 quad, the absolute fastest SoC on the Android side. That's some insane efficiency and IPC.

It actually beats an Atom in some tests. That's incredible. Especially when you look at just how much faster it is than a 4s, which is only 2 generations old.
Is an iPod Touch refresh likely to happen soon? Most Touch refreshes have happened around September/October so you'd expect one but nothing has really surfaced in the way of rumors or parts.

It's really an unknown. Remember how long the 4th gen stayed around, despite being awful way before it was EOL'd? The 5th gen might not get updated until the 4S gets dropped, or maybe it'll be given an A6 next month.

They surely just can't be running just the-engineering-corps-formerly-known-as-P.A.-Semi like madmen at Cupertino, now, can they? I wonder where else they've been looking for talent...

samsung phones look like children's toys at release anyways :v:
How long is ios 7 taking you guys to download and install? Mine says 13 hours left on a 60mb/s connection...
Mine says four hours on university's .30mbps connection.
The servers are just overloaded right now. Give it time.
