I found a bug If you have different lockscreen and homescreen wallpapers, when you slide to unlock it, immediately grab the screen again and drag it back as if you were undoing the sliding action, and your lockscreen wallpaper changes to your homescreen wallpaper
the only likeness to timed wallpaper changes we'll ever have
huh My dad's phone hasn't had any issue since he updated it . My iPad Mini had issues but a reinstall fixed it.
While I was at the apple store I updated a bunch of their minis to 7. None ran as well as iOS 6, the tablet release needs to go back in the oven because it's half baked. The messages app is probably the best example. The iPad 3s they had in the child section were a joke, basically an admission the GPU was too slow.
After a reinstall it was fine.
I feel it's more likely you just don't notice, if an entire line of Apple store iPads had performance issues. Trying a reinstall anyway, but considering it's just the GM which was confirmed to run poorly I have no expectations.
Don't notice what exactly? At first it was completely unusable, and now it's working fine. [editline]19th September 2013[/editline] My personal iPad has a hell of a lot less use than one you would find in a store. I'm pretty sure the constant use and abuse those store models get will eventually have negative affects on them.

"Fine" for iOS 7 is less than "fine" for iOS 6 apparently because there's tons of areas with dropped frames and sluggishness on the mini, yet they're both the same rating of "fine".
fine as in I never experienced any sluggishness or dropped frames after a simple reinstall [editline]19th September 2013[/editline] and you have to stupid to believe any device that is left on for hours a day with constant use and abuse people tend to give display models would not eventually take its toll on it

Do you think the transistors are breaking or something? Or the flash memory that you can't write to because the demo ones can't install apps is wearing out? They sure ran fine on iOS 6 while I waited for 7 to download. If they were degrading in performance, why did they run fine on iOS 6? Also, I just reinstalled and still slowdowns, you just aren't noticing. And considering the message app is sub THIRTY a lot of the time, that's very concerning. This happened on my old mini on GM which is the SAME as the final, it's happening on this brand new one that was never used until yesterday, it happened on every store model. It happens on every mini and if it "doesn't" it's because the user doesn't notice.
funny because if it was having issues I would have noticed something was wrong by now since I've been using my Mini all day and guess what? it isn't sluggish at all before it was, but now it isn't
Yeah sure, you'd notice. You're also the person who's dad's 4 runs it "fine" too, right? Despite reviewers and users outright saying it's awful, which has been said about the 4 BEFORE iOS 7 even existed. Oh, and you're the person who said single stroke fonts render "fine" on the 163ppi iPad Mini which is IMPOSSIBLE because you can't get enough definition to do proper curves when rendering single stroke fonts on pixels that are 150 x 150μm even with subpixel rendering which iOS can't do anyway. I feel like your "fine" is well below what most people call "fine". So forgive me for putting little faith in your anecdote and not accepting that everyone including myself is wrong and you got the mini with a special A5 that runs everything perfect.
lmao Ok
I'm beginning to think he's a troll or an asshole. Maybe both. Just ignore him, he'll go away after a while. I noticed my 4S was really laggy until I went and closed all the apps open in multitasking. Sped right up. Maybe your restore did the same sort of thing?

Remember the iPads not getting included until beta 2? It just needs more time to be worked on.
Excuse me while the wallpaper switcher completely hardlocks my iPad 3 for a solid minute, and the iPad itself experiences random 10 second freezes every few minutes under normal use (read: Safari.) [editline]19th September 2013[/editline] My iPad is going through some phases.
Parents just got an iphone and wanted to setup an apple ID but it seems I I had already registered an account under his email but I could not remember why. Eventually I remember the password (and were promptly asked to change it because it didn't have numbers, uppercase characters or anything like that so this is a REALLY old account) and we go about resetting the account for him and then we get to the Address bar. It lists an address we have not lived at for 13 years. I don't even remember making the account. We didn't even own anything from Apple until 2004. What was I doing??
Did you use iTunes?
Started using iTunes in 2005 but I don't own a credit card so I can't buy anything.
he maybe did it himself years ago and forgot about it?
On this new iOS7 thing, would there be a way to tell if someone has blocked you? Or would the message not send?
Is there a way to speed up the iOS7 animations? It really shouldn't take this long for your screen to come on on your homescreen to show up. Also, on a 4S here. Is it just me or is 7 chewing up battery speed really goddamn fast? And lagging while doing so?
Also is IOS 7 jailbroken yet?
Do you remember to shut down your applications?
Of course I do. Every time I stop using an app I close it in the mutlitasking bit but it still eats battery insanely quickly. Not to mention the over heating from just sitting in the settings for a few minutes.
Just inherited a 3GS, but it needs a cable and plug. Anyone know where I can get a supported one for pretty cheap?

i'd recommend you get an original. i appreciate it's $30 but if you treat it well, it'll last a lifetime. if you have a spare usb charger for blackberries or android phones though, you can just use that and a new cable
