Why is your dvd drive not hooked up in any of the pictures
I'd imagine its broken. After all, he did say this at the beginning of that post:
Took me the majority of the night to install windows without a DVD drive, but still I managed it.
I mean this one, its beautiful.
Dunno about much other cases, but HAF-X has a design on the back that gives the case more space behind the mobo tray. Much excellent cable management.
Getting the Corsair 600T When it's released. Has sufficient cable management ability

No IDE support on the motherboard, and it's an IDE dvd drive. lol <_<

well, I could consider selling it, if you were serious about buying it, I was intending on finishing it. Also would you want it in the Osiris or the 600t?
Personaly i don't like the curves on the 600t...
Just my opinion though...

I know what you mean, but it's not too dramatic, and IMO it's the best mid tower case I can find with good cable management. I don't like the HAF for it's jagedyness. I only like sleek cases.

Why don't you get a Lian Li then, they're so sleek they look like aluminum boxes.
That first picture came out great.

Lian Li cases of a similar quality would be double the price, & still the cable management problem.

lol, I don't realy know what you mean, but thanks ^.^
I wasnt really trying to get extremely shiny images of a cpu.

I just mean the quality of the photo looks good, also braid your cables, then you don't have to worry about hiding them! :tubular:
I intend to, I just thought that It was a little more important to get all the hardware before spending a trillion on cable management.
DW its on the list. I'm just a poor person, so It doesn't work out so well for me.
You picked a really terrible case for a build log. I hope you plan on cutting your own wire management grommets, otherwise this isn't going to look very nice, even with a modular power supply.
Yeah, I was serious. I might take the 600T, if you wouldn't mind, it will be a while till I buy it, probably at the end of August or the beginning of September. It all depends on when I sell my house.
Don't worry, it's had an offer before, its just that it was a shitty offer. My neighbor said he would buy it, but I don't know if he's going through with it.
Would you mind running OCCT on that rig and tell me what the motherboard temps are? i've heard stories about the Formula IV having a horrible problem with the cooling blocks that are on there.

Ha, don't worry about it, the 600t isn't released until end of the summer anyway. So I can wait, that gives me time to get the computer a nice cooler too :)

Yeah sure, I'll run that, Might not post the results till tomorrow, it's getting a little late.

Don't get liquid cooling, I wouldn't be able to afford that D:
Don't get liquid cooling, I wouldn't be able to afford that D:
No, an air cooler. I'm not a personal fan of liquid cooling.
I would build for others with liquid cooling but I would move the pc about too much (lans ect) for liquid
IDK how to use OCCT
Download OCCT from here.
And just press the ON button when you've started it, it will automatically stop after an hour and show you a graph of temperatures and voltages and such.
Not entirely sure what you want me to run, but I ran it for 13 ish minutes and this was the result:

Woa, those CPU temperatures are very nice for a stock cooler, not even exceding 59C.
Would you mind running the test again for ~14 minutes orso and take a screenshot of HWMonitor? that app gives a bit more temperature information.
That's without the stock cooler's fan being at full.
It's fairly quiet at the moment.
It's good for stock :). I'll run the tests now.

That was at idle.
The cpu got to about 62-63 on Full load.
The cores got to 56-57 ish on full load.

It looks like you've got a defuctional probe, it is reading 128C, the rest of the temps look sexy though, can't wait to see the after market cooler results.
yeah I know, Aparently though that reads all sorts of wierd temperatures on lots of builds.
No fix D:
& yeah, got paid today, and selling my old pc, so money for new parts should be soon :)

Also, Fan max speeds, 675000Rpm and 225000Rpm, surely your' pc would take off, or can fans go that fast. :downs:
Lol, it says that is the max, but I don't think it's quite true. Perhaps take two 0's off the end.

My TMPIN2 reports 128C too.
My ASUS board does that too.
Seeeee, common problem.
:/
OP, if you want a case around $150 get the NZXT Phantom, I heard it's going to be released sometime in August.

imo, I think that NZXT cases have some nice features, but they're all so ugly.
