Aah good, that means theres a chance the Galaxy Note will have it too, with Gingerbread at IFA being a placeholder for demonstration. ()
Despite what Americans claim Samsung is actually superb when it comes to updating. My old i9000 has official 2.3.4 and has had multiple iterations of it to iron out issues with the integration of the touchwiz framework.
If the Note doesn't ship with ICS it'll definitely receive it soon after it releases.

The web page is rendered and compressed on Opera's servers in Norway before it is sent to your device.
Honestly if Krait is faster than A15 like Qualcomm claims then they may be on top for a while again.
They need to make sure everything else is nice and upgraded too, a GPS that doesn't require bluetooth GPS receivers for accurate walking positions would be nice. Basically it should be able to get Motorola-level accuracy for GPS.
Also we sort of already have super AMOLED HD with the tab 7.7 and the 285ppi Galaxy note. But I assume you're referring to a more standard sized HD one within the 4-4.5 inch range..
Indeed.
Flashed the latest leaked KH3 ROM onto my brother's phone, Touchwiz 4.5 is actually not just a massive iOS ripoff that 3.0 was, and decent widgets are nice.

Dammit automerge fails me

I know that, but I have wondered, how can they afford it?
Also, any apps or games what I should get?

Need more :v:
Not including blade and N1
My iPhone recently got washed because i forgot it was in my pocket and now it's dead. I was thinking of getting an Android phone, and the Samsung Galaxy S II looks tempting. I don't care about LTE yet, so unless some new, superior phones are coming up, i'm probably getting one soon.
What do you guys think? Should i wait, or should i get the Galaxy S II?

You won't be disappointed by the SGSII, but if I were you I'd still wait for the Nexus Prime. It's supposed to come out in 1-2 months.

I use prey, it works with laptops too.

Will the Galaxy S II receive the 4.0 update? According to the rumors about Nexus Prime it will have similar specs, and no buttons. I don't like the no buttons part, and i'm afraid LTE will use too much battery power until it's been out for some time and optimised.

Well the international variant will but the US custom versions won't for 3-6 months after the international one if the US carriers do the same thing they did with the original.
LTE isn't really going to get "optimized". It's a battery sucker but it has a reason to be and it isn't going to improve substantially beyond software side optimizations and slightly improved radio tech.

It's actually still just Touchwiz 4.0. Fr4gg0r's modded one is typically referred to as 4.5. That aside I agree with you 100%. No more iOS style icon backgrounds, better animations and MUCH better widgets than old 3.0.
So i should wait for better phones than the Galaxy S II to come out?
Can anyone recommend me some sandbox games for Android, stuff like LittleBigPlanet, Minecraft Creative, Garry's Mod and etc?
Wrong section/thread mate.
Wrong section/thread mate.
Should it go in the "Android "Customization" Thread: Apps / widgets / other dlc" thread, or should I make a separate one?
[editline]4th September 2011[/editline]
And I am asking for android games, of course.
Garrys Mod for android?..

How about minecraft?
Garrys Mod for android?..
Sandbox games for Android, Garry's Mod was just an example of a sandbox game (sadly not for android)..
How about minecraft?
But I don't have an Xperia Play..
Making minecraft play exclusive was the worth decision they could have made. Lets restrict our game to a poorly rated device that sold poorly.
Garrys Mod for android?..
gmod uses as much ram as most phones have internal storage lol
gmod uses as much ram as most phones have internal storage lol
Not really. Most mid-high end devices have 8-16GB internal storage.
well i did launch minecraft, except I can't figure out how to turn in it :v:

Is your avatar from The Inbetweeners series or movie?
From the series.
Just watched 2 films on my tab and wow the sound coming from the speakers is amazing. With 5.1 enabled it really does sound like surround sound!

I'm glad the Tab series use the Wolfson sound chip from the i9000. It's such a great DAC. Can't believe the i9100 uses a Yamaha one.
Only part of the i9100 I'm not in love with, the Yamaha sound chip. I miss Voodoo....
Posting this from an Asus Transformer running the "prime" rom. Currently thinking of dual booting Ubuntu. I may hold off for full Tegra acceleration though.
