Does anyone else have an extended battery?
I do.
Just don't expect them to be 3500mAh like advertised. They are almost always 2000mAh or less.
I have HUAWEI U8500 using 2.2.1. I have few questions as I am new to the android. Why Gmail always opens itself when I dont want it ( when I use task killer ) and is it possible to upgrade the android system.
The phone itself is the cheapest around, but the battery is quite good. 35 hours and 38% battery left ( been using wifi a little and calling )
You could look at rooting it to upgrade the firmware from 2.2.1 to 2.3.X. As far as I am aware gmail is classed as a core app in Google's eyes, do you have an account set up on gmail?

Any tutorials how to upgrade and what its benefits?
Anyone know if the Nexus Prime is coming to Telus up here in Canada?
Telus isn't bringing in the SGS2, and Bell's plans are roughly double (price wise) for the same/lesser quality of service.
Are you stupid? They use the same network and CSRs, how could bell have less quality of service. Also Bell's plans are the exact same price as the Telus plans. All the stock plans in Canada are price fixed by the big 3. I think somebody is just jealous that he's stuck with telus.
[editline]7th September 2011[/editline]
Oh yah Telus is definitely cheaper, that's why they offer no 6GB/$30 option publicly right?
[editline]7th September 2011[/editline]
Oh look. For $100 you get more minutes than Bell's Fab 10 plan but you get $1GB less data, evenings start 3 hours later, no FAB 10 nationwide and unlimited text simultaneously and you pay $35 more.
You really should have done your research first. Even without my retention plan I can get better prices on Bell.
I pay 35$ a month right now for 500mb, 100 minutes and 200 sms, and that's not a contract, I have to pay full prices for phones. Bullshit, right?
I am switching to a different plan, which is 20$ for "unlimited" internet (limits my speed to 64kb/s after 500mb), "unlimited" SMS/MMS (actually 3000, but I don't even use them, so whatever) and 300 minutes.
Also all 3 Moscow carriers are pretty much the same thing, they're even owned by same companies, and the only carrier that's actually good (Tele2) is just not allowed in Moscow.
Had my phone on all day at work today, with 3G on and a few things running in the background, and it's only down to 87% battery.
Go go iPhone (:-P
somebody buy dav0r a goddamn Galaxy SII already

Unless I've missed the punchline of some joke, in which case, my apologies.

Must be running some sort of special custom firmware then.
Must be running some sort of special custom firmware then.
I don't think so. I'm fairly certain he's just using a stock iPhone 4 with whatever the current firmware is :v:.

Understandable. I find myself frustrated with the lag and forceclosing too, but I can't bring myself to use an Apple product ever again. Hate iTunes, hate the lack of true customization, I'd miss Flash, and not for nothing, but I've gotten way too used to a 4.3" screen to go back to anything smaller.
[editline]7th September 2011[/editline]
I do
Ah huh. Then surely you know that iPhones run iOS, not Cyanogen or any other form of Android.

So does any of the high-end newer Android devices. Like the SGSII.

Wow, I suggest you stop talking about your boring Iphone here, keep the topic on track please, fellow moderator.

I've seen worse.
Sorry guys, I love widgets and ting, but this just..works
Well d'uh, you can't do much with it in the first place.

Fellow moderator?
I hate using XML to make the UI for my Android apps.
Fellow moderator?
PLEASE DON'T BAN ME
I ordered the G2x a few days ago because it was free, is it any good? I mean from my perspective and research it seems like a great buy, I just need someone else's opinion on it.

I'd wish Android was as polished as iOs. iOs just feels more smooth, but feature wise it's really lacking by now.
I never understood the whole "Just works" thing, it's the most common argument Apple users say.
My phone just works too even on stock, especially honeycomb.

I got the same phone, for free :v:
I would not agree on the part of the battery. I can waste the battery in 24h easily.
Gmail does not open itself for me? Disable syncing maybe?
