Yeah but I bet he does not even know what that is.

What is that?
I look up information about the Galaxy S II every day to see if there is any announcement on an NA release.
But I was reading through the reviews and 4 people gave it a review of "Bulky and Heavy"...
Out of all the phones released, the Galaxy S II is Bulky and Heavy?!?!?

What the crap bulky and heavy? It's light as a piece of plastic and thinner than... Well it's really thin.
If there's anything to complain about it, it would be that it's too light. It doesn't really have the same quality-feel to it as HTC's unibody-phones. In my opinion. But that's just good I think. Rather light and plastic than heavy and sturdy.
I'd prefer a sturdy phone

You're probably right...
I need a nice backcover for my Galaxy S. Any suggestions?
Try casemate barely there cases. They're pretty good.
I put an alarm on my phone and stacked a bunch of shit on top of it (we're talking remotes, a PS2 slim, a couple of T-shirts etc.)
Somehow I managed to get the phone and silence the alarm while asleep or I woke up and can't remember it.
I'm a wizard.
That button to silence the alarm is pretty damn small, wonder how I even managed to get to the phone half-asleep.

I'd rather have plastic. It doesn't dent and it doesn't get scratched. And unless you're a construction worker the plastic will hold up just as well as metal.
And hell, most of the sensation back is plastic anyway.
Also guys. Samsung seriously doesn't check how many times you've flashed.

My SGSII silver frame is dented

Really? Any source?
Also, and since its plastic, it doesn't heat up the metal parts.
I don't like how much you can do with the plus app :(

I think we have some issues with the SGS II then. My SGS lacks dents or scratches. I can't say the same about the screen's ability to land on the corner of the curb though but when it comes to the plastic it's immaculate.

The screen raises up slightly and becomes flush with the plastic rim on the outside
My home button goes weird sometimes, think it's fixed now
I'm finding stuff, going to probably going to replace it on insurance :v:

Oh god. Didn't we learn from the iphone? The Sensation has a death grip and now you're telling me the SGS II screen sometimes hits the same level as the rim.
Nexus S imo feels way better in the hand than the SGSII. It just feels like there is more quality to the Nexus S.

I love the Nexus S's design

The big factor there is that the plastic isn't as glossy. Feels more sturdy and secure in the hand.
Oh I'm not sure if it was mentioned but the Nexus S is heading to the ISS.
The concave curvature of the Nexus S is just so much better to hold in your hand than the flat SG2. I think I would still prefer the back-design of the Nexus S if it had the same plastic as the G2.

Well lets hope the next nexus sports that same type of design with a nice AMOLED HD panel and possibly a kal-el chip. Would be amazing.

I still can't copy-paste here for some reason, but if you google "arstechnica google nexus" and press the second link "Leaked specs for beastly Google Nexus 4G may win.." there's some speculation/information on there that might be of your interest.

Yah I've seen it. It's completely wrong. I know the US reporters seem to think cellular tech revolves around them but not every country has a 4G network, so Google isn't going to call it the Nexus 4G.
And why would google design it to use a Ti chipset instead of Samsung's faster in house exynos chip.

They didn't even properly release the Nexus One in Austria (and probably many other European countries) and they might want to push LTE adoption. I don't think it's that unlikely. Also, Google is American and has tons of US-exclusive products, so I don't think they care that much about the rest of the world.
Their's an Android thread? Sweet :D
Just thought I'd introduce myself to this thread. I have an Orange San Fransisco (ZTE Blade) with CM7.

Fine with me. If they want to lose millions of dollars by making a phone that only works on verizon and possibly AT&T then who am I to stop them?
[editline]9th July 2011[/editline]
I'll just buy an iphone to replace my cracked SGS then.

I'm using sej's kangy builds with the fixed libs. I think they've been merged into the CM7 repo now and are in Nightly 126, but I cba to update.

What does that fix? Can't find anything concrete in the thread that points to, it's a 300+ page monster.
Also, out of interest, has your phone ever soft rebooted when using GPS?

This fixes lot's of battery life issues and also fixes the GPS issue I believe.
