This fixes lot's of battery life issues and also fixes the GPS issue I believe.
I'll give it a shot.

Like I said, the new fixes are in #126. Might aswell wait until tonight's nightly to update.
Life's too short for waiting for official patches.

Wait shit I'm retarded why go for a mutilated unofficial version of 125 when 126 is out

I'm not on Modaco.

Why ever not?
I don't see a need.
anyone know a good app/site to watch shows on the phone, i'm running gingerbread
Buying a Nexus S from sprint and I'm excited, I've wanted an android phone for a while now but haven't had the opportunity until today. I would wait for the Galaxy S 2s but I figure I'll be happy with anything that's better than my shitty Pantech Slate that I've had for almost three years now. Any suggesting with stuff I should put on it when I get it in a couple days?
I'd be surprised if iPlayer doesn't have an app.
Considering that YLE (Finnish equivelant of BBC) has one for Android and iOS.
YLE is usually so fucking terrible with technology, for some reason.
Holy crap!
I've managed to get ~48 hours with Oxygen, but 60 hours is amazing. Got any tips that could apply to all phones to share?
I'm using Cyanogenmod 7 if you are wondering.
Overclocking your phone increases battery usage so leave your max clock rate set to default.
Set you minimum clock rate as low as it can go, I have it set to 245MHz when my phone idles which was an amazing improvement.
Use the CPU Governor called "Conservative", it will give you much more battery life
Lower your screen brightness to about 20-30%.
Leave WiFi, Data and GPS off when you aren't using it. I normally have all of them off unless I'm checking Facebook or updating an app etc
Finally make sure you aren't running any large unnecessary processes in the background i.e. Skype or Facebook

Also if you are running a Legend, try out this radio.

Looking for a good ROM, CyanogenMod is out of the question as it doesn't support the Droid X unfortunately :frown:

And Bluetooth, but that's a given.
[editline]10th July 2011[/editline]
It's amazing how bad these modern phones are at handling Bluetooth though.
I could literally have Bluetooth on 24/7 on my Nokia E51 and I couldn't even notice an increase in battery usage.
And yes, it was discoverable 24/7.
Anyone know if you can get Quake 3 on android? :(
Yes http://code.google.com/p/kwaak3/

I love gameloft games. Just picked that up and starfront for 99p. Their games are blatantly rip offs of other games but hey.
Everything is £3 for me. Something to do with the super promo they mention?
It ended a looong time ago.
is it true that samsung over saturates the color on the galaxy tab 10.1?

Did you look any further than the Devices page? They're already making nightly builds for it. I'm running one and it's fantastic.
The big factor there is that the plastic isn't as glossy. Feels more sturdy and secure in the hand.
That's what I like about my DX. Rectangular shape, solid black matte case. I was comparing it to the Charge when I bought it...have you seen the back of that thing?
My phone is acting really weird with the signal. It can go to -111 dBm 1 asu (No bars visible) -81 dBm 16 asu (The full 4 bars) just sitting in front of me, untouched, on my desk. I can still stream an HQ Youtube video with no bars visible.
The weird thing is, if I hit the button for 2G only, I get a rock solid, full -81 dBm. Could this be a firmware / kernel / ROM thing?

Could be software or just the simple possibility of the signal being fucked. Has it happened recently in that area or has it always been this way?

It could be like my phone, where in my room I get 3-4 bars over G/E, but only 0-1 over 3G/H, so it could be switching to the 3G network, which is faster, but doesn't have as much coverage
Guys, what's the highest temperature your phone has gone up to? My Galaxy S 2 went to 46 degree Celsius just from playing Fishing Joy. Does it have to do with my game?
