I had it on my SGS2, but it didn't show any of my apps in the My Apps section, so I cleared cache/whatever and now I'm back on the old market.

You have to restore the data from the old one with Tbackup, for your apps to show

I meant the android platform itself

Is it normal to HATE Iphone interface, but absolutely love MIUI?
KAL-EL is really a 5 core cpu. The fifth core is clocked lower and is for less intensive tasks. It's actually a really great design idea and will definitely help battery life.

Though honestly it doesn't matter because if Android gets x86 support Intel will crush everyone by putting tons of R&D money into mobile.

Huh? I don't even have a backup of the market. It updated automatically and broke itself.
[editline]21st September 2011[/editline]
Oh, hey, just as I post that I got the update again. All seems to be working fine.

I've been running the new market since August. First load always takes years until it decides to finish it's business.

Either way, the best SoC design is to have the CPU have all CPUs able to power down independently. Phone quickly ramps up to quad core at top frequency to try and keep things smooth, and then shuts off cores that aren't loaded, and if idle then only a single core stays awake.
[editline]20th September 2011[/editline]
Intel has never been good at CPU design by itself, the reason why they're so damn good is because they know how to use process tech, and innovate in process tech as fast as humanly possible.
x86 isn't the best architecture for mobile though imo
Is there a quick way to unroot a phone and stuff? OG Droid. I think I'm just going to install the stock rom, but the bootloader or whatever will still be there.

Assuming you didn't have to unlock the bootloader or something to mess with it, then you would flash stock ROM and possibly it's bootloaders if you did have to modify them. A stock ROM that does not have root will make you unable to have root. Of course, that's unless you root the ROM.
CM7 nightlies have jumped from 104 to 124
Getting sick of not being able to use apps because I don't have a front facing camera. For the love of god, there is in fact a back facing camera that works just as well.

I do have a front facing camera, but android 2.2 doesn't support it :v:

I'm beginning to loathe android fragmentation.
How is the Fascinate?
A while ago i flashed a vodoo ROM to my SGS i am on 2.2.1. now i want to upgrade but I remember the FAQ. telling me to revert something before flashing a newrom and I forgot what it was :(

Can I just flash the gingerbread Kernel out of CWM and the ROM later?

My droid bionic came in the mail yesterday. I love this thing
So I'm gonna get my first Android phone soon and I'm trying to decide which one. I'm currently set on either the Xperia Arc for 318 euros or the Google Nexus S for 279.
Which of these should I take or is there some other suggestion you guys have?
By the way, get $2 off the Amazon App store when you tweet about it [url=http://amzn.to/tweetapps2]Here[/url]

Is it worth getting widgetlocker with it?

Nexus S easily for that price.
Just got my Galaxy S2!!!! Found a great deal in a shop and got it for 500€.....
Already rooted and with the VillainROM... It's wonderful. I underclocked the CPU from 1.2 to 1.0ghz, performance is the same, but battery lasts a lot longer! Samsung probably just put it to 1.2ghz for the competition, even if the phone doesent need it!

Any other options? I can expand my budget slightly seeing as my birthday is coming up but I'd rather not spend 400 euros on a phone. Anything I should check for that might be in the 350-ish range?
I just got my first Andoroid Phone a Samsung Nexus S :P Its great .. i like the big screen :)
So i was wondering .. where do you guys get your ringtones from ? ty

I find that hilarious because besides the thinness the Nexus S is better in EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.

TBH the next best is really the SGS II(which is really expensive). The single core Nexus S doesn't really have any slowdowns or lag, where even new dual cores have shitty OEM firmwares that cause stuttering. The SGS II is the only dual core phone I've used that runs consistently smoothly.

Also getting the Nexus S will award bragging rights when you get Ice Cream Sandwich before everyone else.

Wait, Nexus gets the new Android release first?

Google experience phones get Updates straight from Google, whereas other phones have their Software processed through Manufacturers and Carriers which can take a while.

My dad has a Nexus S so I can try out ICS anyway.

I have a question:
Do you guys think that those crappy eBay tablets could basically act as a VNC client without lagging?
Would be the only reason to have a tablet.
Hey now, what's this email I just got?
Oh wait, it's an order confirmation for my Nexus S.
Shit will be comparable to cash.
THAT google services framework bug
If you have ever experienced it, you know what I am talking about
I HATE IT
Makes me want to get back to 2.2

You what's cool? I'm on 2.3.5 on my SGS and the bug isn't there.
