I'm pretty sure you don't even get a cheaper rate for buying unsubsidized plans, the only thing you gain is the ability to change carriers on a whim, and in the US the big carriers all use different frequencies/bands.

You might want to re read all those comments? He lives in Canada Hunt3r. I was simply commenting after people started acting amazed that he got a SGSII for $25 that he's also locked in for 3 years at $50 or more per month and will have to pay $600 to cancel.
Also, I'm kind of sure that the AT&T GSII will be able to use the Samsung GSII extended battery kit with no issues, no?
Yah it should. All they did is replace the vastly superior home button with the standard android 4 softkeys.

EDIT: Nope I was mistaken. The AT&T model is 8.89mm. The i9100 is 8.5mm.
You know what's sad? AT&T didn't even need a custom model. The i9100 supports their network fully.
I'm thinking the extra .4mm may be worth it. NFC was added, and who knows what else will be found after release.
...NFC wasn't on the normal GSII right?

Oh that's true. But I'd rather sacrifice NFC for the community support and accessories the i9100 will have that the i777 won't.
After changing To FIDO my I9000 keeps saying I'm in roaming now
Any possible fixes?

Did you change your APN to work on fido?
Did you change your APN to work on fido?
Can't add it in MIUI for some reason, but in CM7 my APN was correct and it still didn't work

You can change your APN in MIUI. I remember having to do so back when running MIUI in 24bit color didn't bring it to 2fps.
Are you incurring roaming charges? Make sure roaming is completely disabled and see if it jumps onto the fido network.

It's just my phone thinking I'm in roaming now
Charges are the same as always
And it don't change no matter what

What's saddest is that it's off by .39mm. Either way, I kind of prefer the 4 softkeys, hardware buttons feel nice but that's just another part that can break.

That's really weird. I honestly can't think of why that would occur.

I've never ever ever heard of someones home button on a Galaxy S(2) breaking.
What's wrong with Samsung Kies?
When I got my phone from Bell, there was a bunch of pre-installed apps/widgets (which I don't like, but I'll learn to live with it). However, I was going to install Kies on my laptop to check for further firmware upgrades because I couldn't care less about Odin and manually flashing my phone.
EDIT:
Why?
I don't want to lose basic service provider functionality, but more importantly, WARRANTY. As well, do other firmware upgrades aside from Kies come with Swype? (I have fallen in love.)
And then there's the question of the aforementioned pre-installed apps/widgets and while I don't like how many there are, some prove useful, no? (Like Bell's Self-Serve app.)
I'm just super-"OCD" with this kind of stuff and don't like screwing with manufacturer/service provider settings for purposes of functionality, reliability, compatibility and warranty.

True, just personal preference imo. I find capacitive buttons a lot more reliable even if they lack some tactile feedback.
Getting a new phone today :) choice between zte blade and galaxy ace, which do you recommend?
Getting a new phone today :) choice between zte blade and galaxy ace, which do you recommend?
Easily the Ace.
Getting a new phone today :) choice between zte blade and galaxy ace, which do you recommend?
Get the ace, it would be the smoothest out of the two phones. Honestly, having a slow Android sucks.

I spent more time getting my HTC Magic to run faster than actually using it :v:

The Ace is way faster than the Blade, but the Blade has better and bigger community and support.
How the hell do I use PayPal to buy apps in the market? Can't find the option anywhere.

You can't.
Got my USB OTG cable, it's fun using a mouse/keyboard.
Fucking great. Guess Google is advocating piracy then.

Anyone know how good the new Bionic is compared to the Motorola Droid?
Anyone know how good the new Bionic is compared to the Motorola Droid?
Samsung's warranty people basically just check to see if it's a stock Samsung rom that was released ever. They don't care if it's from your carrier, just that it's actually for your device.
Also yes every Samsung rom comes with swype, and Bell self serve(which is fucking crap use Sim toolkit) is available in the market free.
So is the Xperia play any good?
So is the Xperia play any good?
Outdated hardware, the whole Xperia line is mediocre.
