Just got a new memory card, what kind of filesystem does Android like to use (ZTE Blade)?
I'm pretty sure you partition it as ext4/ntfs/swap in recovery.
Why is showing my phone numbers so wonky? It puts dashes in after 3 numbers for some reason, even when putting in mobile phone numbers, which only makes it more confusing to read.
Samsung's warranty people basically just check to see if it's a stock Samsung rom that was released ever. They don't care if it's from your carrier, just that it's actually for your device. Also yes every Samsung rom comes with swype, and Bell self serve(which is fucking crap use Sim toolkit) is available in the market free.
So try Kies first for any official Samsung/Bell firmware releases? There is nothing fundamentally wrong with the phone, but I just heard updating firmware improves performance/battery/GPS among other stuff.
IMO even Odin is more reliable than KIES, which is saying something.
IMO even Odin is more reliable than KIES, which is saying something.
That you have a validated/important opinion or that KIES really sucks?
That you have a validated/important opinion or that KIES really sucks?
Think of it as this. Weasels are more reliable than politicians, which is saying something.
What would be the benefits of rooting a 3.1 honeycomb tab?
So all of my apps are crashing constantly.
Try fixing permissions, are you rooted?
Yes but I'm new to it. I just found a guide to fixing permissions on CM's wiki and I'm trying it now, thanks!
So all of my apps are crashing constantly.
If google services framework (Gapps) crashes first, then just wipe the data of Google Services Framework and ALL the apps, which are synchronizing
If google services framework (Gapps) crashes first, then just wipe the data of Google Services Framework and ALL the apps, which are synchronizing
Hmm, well this is what's happening, but I just did the permissions thing and everything seems to be fixed so far.
Hmm, well this is what's happening, but I just did the permissions thing and everything seems to be fixed so far.
Had you recently installed a custom firmware or rooted?
Hmm, well this is what's happening, but I just did the permissions thing and everything seems to be fixed so far.
It will return, remember my words I have only fixed this thing yesterday after a week of horrible suffering Well, for some people it fixes easily for some it doesn't [editline]25th September 2011[/editline] I am the unlucky type
Had you recently installed a custom firmware or rooted?
Nope. Came out of nowhere. [editline]25th September 2011[/editline] Unrelated, but I just installed widget locker and now the power button doesn't put the phone to sleep or wake it.
Think of it as this. Weasels are more reliable than politicians, which is saying something.
So I have 1 person saying try KIES before anything else and one person saying to try Odin and disregard KIES. What do.
So I have 1 person saying try KIES before anything else and one person saying to try Odin and disregard KIES. What do.
Odin you can avoid flashing bootloaders until you're absolutely ready. If you want, Heimdall is the most reliable for flashing bootloaders, and you can just flash bootloaders through Heimdall before flashing a bootloader-less ROM for the update. Make sure you don't use Odin one-click. Use the normal Odin that has all the various slots for files.

(This means keeping to official releases - no custom ROMs or unlocked bootloaders nor do I care about root.)
I finally got my Samsung Galaxy S2. This is after owning the same crappy phone for almost 7 years (which, credit where credit is due, lasted until about two months ago). I have no real point of comparison having owned no other smartphones. Nevertheless, the SGS2 is probably the coolest device I've owned, and is awesome in almost every way. The only thing I really don't like is the stupid unremovable Samsung apps, which are almost all terrible.

I was pretty sure kernel can be only changed with odin and not from zip, but CM& changed my kernel from (AWFUL) DarkCore to some nice kernel (Don't remember which one) [editline]25th September 2011[/editline]
I find it amusing how I got so far in Ocarina of Time, In my phone, I never imagined something that fitted my hand could play a masterpiece like this Tomorrow I beat gannon on-the-go
Is ocarina of time good for introducing with zelda series? I feel guilty for saying it but I have never played a zelda game
I will probably get a Xoom, as it has 3G, but I heard Motorola never releases updates for it, so I would end up with an outdated tablet, so is it worth buying?
So, I did a full wipe on my Inc, and now the latest CM nightly is literally smooth as butter. Amazing how well it runs again.
I will probably get a Xoom, as it has 3G, but I heard Motorola never releases updates for it, so I would end up with an outdated tablet, so is it worth buying?
Galaxy tab 10.1 has 3G versions.
That's so beautiful The round menu pops up when you hold the lock [editline]25th September 2011[/editline] Bad it only launches the default browser
Galaxy tab 10.1 has 3G versions.
No SD slot.
Anyone had luck running psx4droid on their phone? It seems to just return to the rom selection menu just after I select one. I've read in the comments that it's a common problem, but maybe someone has a solution?
No SD slot.
Yah the lack of SD is an issue. I think the Xoom is the only 3G tablet that has an SD slot so I guess get the Xoom.
