Yay! http://www.xda-developers.com/android/htc-will-roll-out-unlocked-bootloaders-for-sensation-and-evo-3d/
Really good news. AND MOTOROLA CONTINUES TO BE AN EVIL BASTARD.
I like Android more and more and hate WinMobile. I didn't knew about a list of programs in the menu and that's why it had 2 websites running, giving me a huge bill and my provider to shut down internet service. Bah!
Guys, what's the highest temperature your phone has gone up to? My Galaxy S 2 went to 46 degree Celsius just from playing Fishing Joy. Does it have to do with my game?
55+ Battery temp Higher CPU temp It was OC'd to 1.6GHz whilst web browsing on a warm day..... :downs:
I have a desktop fan solely for my GSII. It's hot outside so I use that fan when I charge, play, browse on the phone.
I have a desktop fan solely for my GSII. It's hot outside so I use that fan when I charge, play, browse on the phone.
Didn't people always said never charge and play devices? Or did that only applies to PSP?
Didn't really mean charge and play at the same time :P.
Feels like my ear is burning while talking to my Samsung Galaxy S while it's charging. But yea as said, i wouldn't play anything while it's on charger as that damn thing makes the phone go really hot.
is it true that samsung over saturates the color on the galaxy tab 10.1?
Samsung has never had oversaturated colors on their devices. The only reason people thought the SGS was oversaturated is because they use TN panel monitors all fucking day. Anyone who uses a P-IPS monitor knows that they weren't oversaturated. Where did you read the tab has oversaturated colors? I suggest you stop using them as a credible news source. [editline]11th July 2011[/editline]
Really good news. You'll get a nice permanent notification that confirms that it was unlocked, and you will never be able to get warranty services.
Could be software or just the simple possibility of the signal being fucked. Has it happened recently in that area or has it always been this way?
If I walk for a minute, I can see the tower from my house. My old phone (BlackBerry Bold), my brother's phone (Acer Liquid E) and my mom's phone (LG Xenon) all get perfect 3G reception in this house. Considering it can jump around to full signal, it's definitely there and can pick it up, though maybe the phone has some weird power management thing going on. The phone was unlocked and the guy I traded the phone with said he used a code for it, if that makes any difference. Is there something that the process of unlocking with a code could damage?

People have been complaining about the Rogers network being so inconsistant for over a year now. Switch to Bell if you want good devices and a good network. [editline]11th July 2011[/editline] Now if it's just your device. It could be the possibility that the radio is weak. My guess is that your device has a worse radio then the ones in your family members devices.

Most places, my friend even couldn't text off his Desire Z. He was FORCED to switch to Rogers because he couldn't even use his phone on Bell! And I don't live in a city of 5000 people, I live in Victoria, the capital of BC, so that's not acceptable.

Must be certain areas where there are lots of dead zones because I've never seen an issue. [editline]11th July 2011[/editline] Looking at google I can't find any complaints about the issue you describe. Maybe you should be looking at filing a support ticket. People aren't going to fix issues unless they're reported.
GSII geek porn I don't know how people can do this, even if I had a steady hand and an amazing memory, I would not dare do this.
I was thinking the GSII was a different phone because the first galaxy S was shortened to SGS :saddowns:
Yay, my thread is back :) I just flashed a new 2.3.4 ROM to my SGSII (villainROM V2) and oh my god the battery life. It started going up! Obviously something a bit wrong there but it's good so far.

The load on the tower is unlikely to be the case, since there's only a few thousand people in this area.
How would I save all of my apps and pictures and what not if I want to try a new non stock Rom?
How would I save all of my apps and pictures and what not if I want to try a new non stock Rom?
Titanium backup Pictures are safe
To the radio discussion: my signal changes a lot too.sometimes just when I tilt the phone.but out it depends on which cell I'm in.in university I have full reception even in the deepest middle of the building and that are old russian military buildings. Heavy walls.
Guys, what's the highest temperature your phone has gone up to? My Galaxy S 2 went to 46 degree Celsius just from playing Fishing Joy. Then it starts to lag like a bitch and shuts down, never to be turned on again until I put it in the fucking fridge. I have a love hate relationship with my phone.
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1724225-My-review-of-the-Samsung-Galaxy-S-II Well this is sure to boost their sales. It's fucking howard for gods sake! [editline]11th July 2011[/editline]
I was thinking the GSII was a different phone because the first galaxy S was shortened to SGS :saddowns:
SGS II is the proper acronym.
Nexus S is here! It looks so awesome in it's box! Just have to wait a couple hours and I'll start the activation process!
Didn't people always said never charge and play devices? Or did that only applies to PSP?
Lithium ion has no memory effect so it doesn't matter.

My friend has horrible issues with her phone too, also he had his phone replaced and such before switching to Rogers because he had just taken on a 3 year plan so he tried to get it fixed.
Any recomendations on an android phone? I have a budget of £200.
