These are supposed to be handheld devices?
Well now they're hands held devices

It's only 0.381 centimeters bigger than the
Infuse,
Hercules
SGS II X and the
Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G Super AMOLED plus double extreme to the max.
People hold those phones with one hand.
It annoys me how I can't do everything with one thumb on my SGS 2 though
Not compared to the Galaxy Note :v: I wish Samsung would release it already..
Two rumors suggest either a late October/early November or late November for the UK. Apparently Samsung employees in Korea are already using it in day-to-day use. Hopefully it's more like mid-October, my iPhone 3G's SIM slot just died.
Just got my new Captivate, why should I avoid installing Kies? it says it's a firmware update.

Also, the Wi-Fi won't work for some reason. At one point, it told me that I couldn't connect because I left my home network (I hadn't) without data roaming on, and now there's no error, it just won't connect. I can't get the market to work, the browser won't go anywhere and youtube says there was a problem with my network. It's connected, and it has an IP address, it just won't work.
I don't see the problem with kies, it's a bit clunky but it's not bad
I have no idea about the wifi problems though, but I know you can only do firmware updates via the the cable, and sometimes it doesn't work if you use USB 1

Not sure about the wifi issue. The statement I bolded makes no sense whatsoever. Kies is not a firmware update. Kies is a software to get firmware updates. Just install it and update to gingerbread. Then ignore it and never use it again because AT&T will not ever give you ICS.

Google Drive might be coming out real soon.
It's not known yet if it's just a "re-branded" Google Docs or it's like Dropbox.
Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G Super AMOLED plus double extreme to the max.
Samsung Galaxy S II Turbo Remix is probably my favorite.

I figured out the Wi-fi problem, networking data was turned off (Why exactly? I do not know). Anyway, how would I go about upgrading to Gingerbread?

Looking on the net I get the impression AT&T hasn't released gingerbread. No news, no releases, nothing.
HTC Vigor:
Damn, why is it Verizon only.

Cool. Are there any back shots?
So, how do I get music and video and such onto this? I selected Mass Storage when I plugged it in, then I turned it on, then I clicked 'view files' or whatever on Windows. How do I get my music over there now?
Sense 3.5? Oh god please no, it's so fucking ugly. Use Sense 3.0.
Wait, what's the difference between 3.5 and 3.0?
Here's another screenshot:

Buddy this is basic level computer work. You just drag your music files onto the device like you would an MP3 player or a usb drive.
Well yeah, I'm not that much of an idiot, but WHERE on the phone? there's no 'music' directory or such as that.

I hate the new design of the widgets.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/20/htc-rhyme-hands-on-video/
they look so much worse than the pretty glass type widgets from other versions.
Another example.
On another Vigor-related note, the folks at Droid-Life recently posted a photo allegedly from Verizon's internal systems showing that the Vigor may be known as the "Rezound" when it launches.
Rezound...
Wow, can't they keep calling it Vigor?

Hopefully the other Sense 3.5 is just an exclusive reskin or something. Although I do like those sliding tabs.
I lost my old cell last week and yesterday I ordered a Huawei Sonic. Does anyone know if it's any good? I know nothing about today's phones.

Perhaps the female designed version of 3.5 on the rhyme is different. 3.5 in the pictures you've shown actually looks BETTER. They made the bottom bar glassy instead of the standard grey. But the rhyme version looks fucking terrible.

Well what's stopping you from making a folder named MUSIC directly on the SD-card?

Ignore him. If we have to teach steps like that then we'll be here for hours.

Well fuck you man, this is my first smart phone, how was I supposed to know that wouldn't fuck shit up? But seriously, fuck you. Won't be coming back here again.

If the Nexus Prime turns out to be vaporware for Verizon and the Bionic doesn't get a nice, healthy modding community, in addition to a continuation of the lack of WP7s on Big Red, I'm thinking of this as an upgrade from my TB.

It being your first smartphone is irrelevant. This is the standard procedure for any media player and it even expands to most mass storage devices. If you're "not coming back" then why are you still reading the thread?

I think we've established that it will. Confining your developer device to one network in one country is not the best way to attract developers.
Hey, don't just leave because of one mean guy. Anyway, if you prefer syncing your device with iTunes, you can use Doubletwist (Free), or iSyncr.
You can sync it with other players too, but I don't really know what apps to use with them.
Or you can just drag it to the music folder in your SD Card.
so, im kinda interested to root my galaxy s2 (i want to decrease the cpu clock so the battery time will get better)
i cant find any guide on xda forums, do anyone know where i can find one?

Still waiting for someone to clarify what was mean. You just have to randomly drag music to whatever folder you want. This is how all MP3 players, usb drives, sd cards, and compact disks work. I was simply telling Van-Man that such posts here need to be ignored because it creates so much clutter in the thread that really isn't necessary. Use PMs or even better, just use google.

It won't help. The phone has its own CPU governor that downclocks the cpu depending on how much power the device needs to complete a task. You won't really see any improvements by downclocking.
If this thread handled Igngamer updating his bootloader, I'm sure it can handle a person learning to copy music :v:
