Android Thread V4 - Got money? Samsung Galaxy S II. No money? ZTE Blade. - Hardware & Software

i just realized apple is going to show off the iphone 5 in 2 days should i wait for apple to show it off or just go get a Galaxy SII by the way im about to move off a 3GS so i don't know what android is like at all since i never used one. ever. could someone provide a tip list since im completely new to android?

Don't buy one yet, wait for iPhone 5 and the next wave of Android devices.

Android is a very open, versatile OS, you can do anything with your phone. Don't like the UI? Just get a new launcher. Want the update early, but there's no official release yet? Flash a new ROM.

reading this thread hurts my feelings, gotta wait a month b4 i finally get the nexus s and my iphone is slowly dying in the meantime

I've tried downloading apps before and it says they are incompatible. Downloaded the APK files and installed and they worked fine, what do.

I was thinking when the Nexus Prime comes out that I may buy it out of contract and sell my Nexus S. How much is it likely to be when the phone is released in GBP?

I hope it isn't.

If you're rooted on Sense, get Root Explorer and change the extension of HTCLoggers.apk to .bak to fix the issue. Go to /data/data/com.HTC.loggers/HTCLog and delete the .txt file inside of it. Hopefully this fixes the issue for now.

At least, as far as we know of. [editline]2nd October 2011[/editline] I'm not sure I've actually got rid of the logging though. Dammit, they need to strip off this sort of thing in ROMs.

Went to the AT&T store today. I now own a Samsung Galaxy SII and it is beautiful. Now to sell the Iphone 3GS on Ebay

Or keep iPhone and use it for music.
