I love my SGII to but not that much....
Everyone else I know in Victoria on Telus or Bell has been complaining too. My friend has horrible issues with her phone too, also he had his phone replaced and such before switching to Rogers because he had just taken on a 3 year plan so he tried to get it fixed.
Well I guess the people out there are very stupid, because there have been no noticeable amount of complaints to Bell and Telus senior officers. Why would you expect an issue to improve if you don't tell anyone with the ability to improve it that there is an issue?
Lithium ion has no memory effect so it doesn't matter.
It may be more of a heat issue. Lithium-ion batteries suffer capacity loss with heat. When charging, you create heat and when you play you create heat. When you play and charge at the same time you are creating more heat than when you do just one or the other. This is pure speculation on my part I have never heard the don't play and charge at the same time thing.
Is the Xperia Play any good? Mainly looking to emulate on it and browse the web. [editline]11th July 2011[/editline]
It may be more of a heat issue.
Is the Xperia Play any good? Mainly looking to emulate on it and browse the web.
Maybe a PS1 emulator. If you want games buy a Galaxy S II. Or a tegra 2 device.
Best Buy opened up pre-orders for the SGS2 http://mobilesyrup.com/2011/07/11/pre-order-the-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-at-best-buy/
That almost made me happy, then I read canada.
I think we've established the SGS II will be old news by the time you guys get it.
In other not Samsung related news, Apple sued HTC again.
In other not Samsung related news, Apple sued HTC again.
After HTC buying those S3 graphics patents just to patent troll competitors, I can't say I feel sorry for them. [editline]12th July 2011[/editline] http://phandroid.com/2011/07/11/straight-from-samsung-mobile-romania-division-more-nexus-3-rumors/ Holy fuck. This is my new phone.
What is it with you and your Samsung obsession? [editline]12th July 2011[/editline] Although that is awesome.
What is it with you and your Samsung obsession? [editline]12th July 2011[/editline] Although that is awesome.
Just because it is made by Samsung I have a Samsung obsession? It could be made by any company and I would buy it solely because it has a 720p SAMOLED panel and has stock Android. I'm so sorry that companies like HTC and Motorola are forced to buy off the shelf parts for their devices and have to use LCD screens in their phones, that's not my fault. If LG made phones with SAMOLED screens I'd look into those as well, but at the moment only Samsung has them, and they're second to none.

Also, didn't you have a GS II already? And then you're gonna change to a nexus 3 if it comes out? Wow, you're bloody rich.
Is the Xperia Play any good? Mainly looking to emulate on it and browse the web.
I think it's perfect for that. It might not have the raw power of a SGSII, but I can't play any emulated games on my SGSII except for Pokemon because the controls suck that hard. The Xperia Play is definitely fast enough for GBA, SNES, etc and probably N64 and PSX emulation.
Get an SGSII for emulation, a PS3 controller and play PSX games with the PS3 controller. The Xperia can't come close to a real controller.
Get an SGSII for emulation, a PS3 controller and play PSX games with the PS3 controller. The Xperia can't come close to a real controller.
You can do that? Oh sweet.
You can do that? Oh sweet.
People have been hooking up all kinds of shit to Android phones. If I remember correctly, there's an app on the Market to connect your Wiimote to your phone so you can use it as a controller in games.

Someone should compile joydev.ko for the SGSII so we can use normal USB gamepads using USB OTG.
But you can't use a PS3 controller. Someone should compile joydev.ko for the SGSII so we can use normal USB gamepads using USB OTG.
First I was going to say you're wrong, but then I had a proper look. Apparently nobody's done Bluetooth drivers for it and the only video where I found a guy using a Playstation 3 controller was with a Xoom.
Not just that, almost every post you make here is about how HTC is bad and you should get a SGSII, and if you're American, tough luck.
Nothing in that post claimed HTC was bad. In fact I bet you can't find a post from me that says HTC is inferior that isn't made purely of facts. Also don't use generalizations in your posts. Saying "almost every post" instantly invalidates anything you're going to say because it's incorrect and shows your post was purely assumptions and guesses. If you're going to make a post claiming I do something you dislike at least find a way to back it up without just making generalizations without actually seeing how many posts I've made and what they consist of. [editline]12th July 2011[/editline]
Seems like you wouldn't bother giving other devices a try. Also, didn't you have a GS II already? So I say that I would buy the Nexus 3 not because of the company that makes it but because of the screen and hardware. Then you go back to claiming that I wouldn't give other devices a try, but I just explained why. I find these accusations that I'm somehow Samsung biased hilarious because I always disprove you guys without any effort. [editline]12th July 2011[/editline] Also droid incredible 2 guys. Gingerbread is rolling out. If you have it and were previously on froyo let us know if the speed is increased.
you're bloody rich.
It's called having a job. It's not that hard to save every month in advance for stuff you may want in the future. Even if you don't earn that much, you live alone and whatnot, it's still possible to save money. I live alone with 3 cats and I managed to buy a GTX580 and my SGSII with some planning and saving.

What? It's a little family, I bet they can take care of themself. Why would I need to bring them if I had a date.
Downloaded an app to silence my phone when a telemarketer calls (uses a blacklist). Android 1 - Annoying douchebags 0
I actually like when they call. Especially if its a girl. I usually starts a conversation then they hang up :|
But wouldn't you have to bring the cats out on dates.
What why?
So, My Galaxy S2 which I broke by dropping in the bath is now fixed... ...after I drenched it in another liquid. Ironic it may seem, but it worked and it's almost as good as new. All I had to do in the end was disassemble it completely then soak all the connectors and the mainboard in IPA. It didn't work at first but after the IPA dried out it worked perfectly again. A very cheap and easy fix to what would have otherwise been a £500 doorstop. The only issue with it now is the IPA behind the camera lens, I don't think I'm going to be able to fix that, but it's only minor and the camera is still good quality.
