is there any way to change the size of icons on the home screens?
ADW launcher EX can do that.
I'm in love with Android 2.3.7 on my SGSII, CM7 owns.
Only problem with CM7 Nightly on 2.3.7 is I get CPU pegged errors in logcat and my phone freezes up :smith:
Anybody want to trade a Nexus One and an SGSII for a Nexus Prime? :v:
should i get an EVO 4G($20), a Samsung Epic Touch 4G($99), or a Nexus S 4G(1 cent)
help
So, apparently Samsung has decided to try stop sale of the iPhone 4S.

Predicted and expected.
Let's hope they actually win this.
I installed google wallet on my Nexus S and decided to give it a shot today. NFC chips are the future of digital payment. Thanks for lunch, Google.
I wish the Galaxy Note had NFC for the UK, really the only way to get NFC in your phone is to get a Blackberry, kind of sucks.

But at the same time there's not many NFC points in the UK.
Anybody want to trade a Nexus One and an SGSII for a Nexus Prime? :v:
I'll give you an HTC Desire (Or an HD2) and an iPad for that SGSII :v:
[editline]5th October 2011[/editline]
I can throw in an iPhone 3G
[editline]5th October 2011[/editline]
And an iPhone 4 if you help me beat up its owner:v:

Anyway, unfair trading aside, how much would Nexus Prime probably cost?
Anybody own a nice case for the Tab 10.1? I feel like ths thing is just going to get squashed eventually.

I'm guessing £500 unlocked.
Giving my phone a big make over
ADW launcher EX can do that.
the paid one or the free one? I have the free one on right now and I have the app called simple text that makes my icons into text, I just want to make them bigger so I can read the text.
The problem with Apple is inherently, a sole-source maker can't compete with the sheer horde of lower margin, better, faster, newer Androids.
PC vs. Mac is replaying itself right now. Apple will eventually shrink in market share, maintaining a small but fanatic fan base, Android will quite simply come to own much of the market for smartphones.
Either way, with Steve Jobs gone, it's going to be difficult seeing an Apple with any real vision.
i'm getting a Nexus S 4G in a couple days. what do i need to know about rooting and such? i've read about using something called voodoo to fix some problems with the DAC not being used properly, so i'm definitely interested in that.

The free version of ADW is kind of shitty. If you don't already have a custom launcher go for it, it's not that much money.
I tried out ADW EX for 10 minutes then went straight back to GO Launcher EX, so much better.
SPB Shell 3D is "Sense-like", if anyone wants to try it.

ok trying it out, I can only make the icons twice as big, is there any way to make them even bigger? and on top of that Since i'm making my icons in text format I can only have my phone horizontally oriented so that all the text is displayed.
What I essentially want is to have MAIL really big on my screen and when I click on it my email will pop up, suggestions?
Note to all, please do not attempt to download/screw around with the screen filter app, if you set it to below a certain level, it will make your screen totally black until you fumble for the disable button. It took me 10 minutes and a restart to fix it. Pants were shat. I realize I'm dumb.

The schadenfreude is immense.

Note to all:
If Android could implement a system similar to WebOS where you can very easily switch between active applications, I would die a happy man. The swipe up to get rid of the card would put the application in the suspended state. Then have the recent applications in the notifications screen like HTC Sense.
That's really going to make multitasking far easier. Right now what annoys me about multitasking in Android is how clunky it is, with Windows I just go to the bottom and change windows, in Android I usually either have to long-press home and hope it's recent enough, or go to the app launcher to go to what I want.
