Well, Cyanogen 7.1 stable is exactly what I expected it to be; stable as hell and way better than the nightlies.
Hey guys, would be much appreciated if I could get an answer on this.
Firstly, I have an option of two phone, the LG Optimus 2X and the Motorola Atrix.
Looking at specs I think the Atrix is better, am I right in thinking this?
Plus, Im looking to root the device (Atrix) is this possible?
And most tutorials Ive seen are for the Atrix 4G, is this the same as the normal Atrix?

That guide says 2.2 only and I'm on 2.3. I'll just follow the CM7 wiki.

pretty much follow one of these guides, then put the zip file on your SD card and install it using rom manager which is very easy to use.
you shouldn't use CM7 though, camera quality is horrible and wifi reception is awful no matter what radio you use. At least that's my experience. I use revolution HD now.[/QUOTE]

If you want to root/flash later on then Titanium Backup is a good app to have, you can backup all your apps and delete/freeze the bloatware

It gave me an error saying that it's not plugged in or its not in debugging mode, or drivers aren't installed. It's plugged in and in USB debugging, so it has to be the driver issue. What drivers is it referring to?

Find a way to downgrade, root, Radio S-Off, then flash CWM or 4EXTRecovery. Put the CM7 zip on your SD card, and the gapps.zip. Flash CM7, then gapps, reboot. Charge your phone until Battery Monitor Widget or CurrentWidget indicates 0 mA charge, use Battery Calibration to clear the battery stats, reboot with charger connected, unplug once fully loaded, fuck bitches get money and don't plug it back in until it shuts off ALL THE WAY.

Get the HTC Sense account up and going, it'll ring your phone at max volume or turn on GPS to find it.

Pretty. Most of these concepts are already done in HTC Sense. One thing that isn't is dividing apps by category within the app drawer. Touchwiz does that one.

If it can work with FAT32 disks to make coherent sync, yes.
I would imagine it would work something like like having a folder in your phone that foobar would sync with your computer.
Alright, 'breaking in' my GSII battery doesn't do much. I would be lucky if the phone made it 20 hours doing literally nothing. It appears that it is awake quite often compared to everybody else, any ideas why that would be? All running apps are off and I tried a blank background today. All widgets are set to update when I tell them to and not ever 15 minutes or something. Android OS ended up using a lot of the battery throughout the day today, and maps, oddly enough, used 15% on the usage indicator. This is weird since it hasn't been open for days and GPS is off. I'll take a picture tomorrow, but are there any tips to make it better?

But it's usually goes down one fourth of your GHz. But yours is dual core, maybe turn off one core? Also, you can set the del or lower the GHz setting after rooting.

You need the HTC BMP driver for your phone. Go to HTC's website, download HTC Sync. Let it run, but quit it before it actually starts installing HTC Sync.

Android OS eating battery is a known 2.3 bug. I don't remember how to fix it, but googling "2.3 battery drain" will probably give good results
If so, step one is to actually make sure that you calibrated your battery using the procedure I've said before. Step two is to install battery history for gingerbread off of XDA (google it), then determine what is causing your partial wakelock. If you're not on a ROM based off of the latest stable official release, move to that one.
Avoid installing applications that aren't from solid developers.
I've having a huge problem with my phone that I've never had before.
I got an LG Optimus 2x rooted with GoLauncher and none other big mods and my phone has been randomly restarting ever since I got it so it hasn't ever actually been a problem since I just put in the pin code and unlock it but yesterday it had one of it's random restarts but the pin input window never opens so I can't unlock the sim card.
If I spam the home hey while I'm on the home screen the pin input window just flashes for a fraction of a second and then goes away and I've tried using the default launcher with no luck
Okay, rooted and installed CM7. Booting up now. Taking forever.

Replace the battery, don't underclock if you are doing so.
