Alright, so I got a SGS2 yesterday, and its been working great until I used Lookout, and turned off my phone. Now the screen won't lock. I've tried to use no screen lock, tried to use a pin lock, tried password and pattern, but they won't show up when I try to lock my screen. What do?

So when will the Epic 4G get the official Android 4.0 update? I'm sure it'll be on XDA really soon.
Some threads even lag in Chrome on my 2.8GHz desktop quad core. Opera Mobile on the SGSII handles it very well though in the few threads I've tried.
Facepunch likes to crash my browser
So, my phone still isn't locking, but when I went looking around and apps using battery, I found Android System and an error just a ways down, could that be why my screen isn't locking? Hard restart maybe? [IMG_THUMB]http://u.cubeupload.com/EagleEye/SC20111013154245.png[/IMG_THUMB]
tried a soft-restart?
Several times I've just restarted it (I assume thats what a soft restart is). When it brings me to my home page, it doesn't prompt me for any password, and even though I can set a pattern, it just won't show up. Itsa mystery :|
Install a LogCat app like aLogCat. Start it and turn your screen off then back on. Go back to the app and there may be some errors that can help.

Want me to post the 20 page long log? haha

please use pastebin, prevent scroll wheel abuse
http://pastebin.com/gRDqpMb6 There, actually I'm not sure if there are any errors at all worth looking at, but I honestly have no clue, I've only been using Android for 15 hours now.
The one line that stands out to me is 948:
D/DATA ( 452): [DSST(0)] Poll ServiceState done: oldSS=[0 home null null null UMTS CSS not supported -1 -1RoamInd: -1DefRoamInd: -1EmergOnly: false] newSS=[0 home null null null UMTS CSS not supported -1 -1RoamInd: -1DefRoamInd: -1EmergOnly: false]
Also, probably a silly question, but have you tried uninstalling Lookout, restarting and setting up the Lock screen again?
ha, I didn't think about that I'll be sure to do that as soon as I get outta class. right now I have to go to school I'm just gonna have to hope someone doesnt get ahold of it and steals it.
On Opera Mini, whenever I type something into a text box, when I exit it to press Enter, or post, etc., it REFRESHES THE PAGE!!! WTF?
I'm not very up-to-date about the newest smartphones and whatnot, but is there any chance that the price of SGSII will go down during the next few months, or that there is a comparable phone getting released soon that won't be as expensive? The SII costs about 5000sek in Sweden right now ($750), and I can't afford it. I can spend a maximum of about $500, and even that is pushing it. I do want a good phone though, since I only buy them once every 5 years or so, and my current N95 is dying.
CyanogenMod for Touchpad is finally in my lap! [thumb]http://s.duck.me.uk/Screenshot-2011-10-13_23.03.05.jpg[/thumb] It works really, really well, and the battery usage is holding up well too (almost WebOS standard, no less). Wifi works great, Flash works awesome (better than webos dare I say it), it's actually pretty damn useable. Shame it's 2.3.5 though, but 3.0 / 4.0 will hopefully come in time. Instructions are here: RootzWiki - READ EVERYTHING THOROUGHLY BEFORE YOU START. More specifically, remember to add the gapps zip if you want it! Nice, any bugs there? And what are your guys thoughts on Sensation XE and XL?
Nice, any bugs there?
Apart from some slightly dodgy single-touch (multi-touch works fine though) and occasional lockups (and the fact a lot of shit is missing from market like Twitter, gmaps, and Facebook), I'm really struggling to fault it. Even the little fucking LED works.

so can you guys explain why cyanogen is so fancydancy? The site doesn't have its own video, and the one video that actually tried explaining stuff just showed a benchmark and my phone hit roughly the same mark anyways.

well, I got that much. I'm interested, but if it's only performance tweaks and no additional freedom of control or something I think I'll stick with vanilla on my bionic.

If you're rooted with unlocked bootloader I'd recommend you do a backup of your ROM and take CM7 for a whirl.
You get much more customisation options, especially when it comes to themes.
