I don't get why you would carry around a separate controller for a phone, which is meant to be PORTABLE. I don't care if the Xperia controls not as good as a real PS3 controller, I think I'll get it.
Have you tried one out before? The Best Buy and Futureshop in my city both have working demo units. It might be worth playing some games for a few minutes to see if you like the controls.
My not-so-tech-savvy dad is holding out for the Bionic because of the 4G, even though I'm happy with the DX and I use way more data with netflix and such. He's not even worried about the new data plans because he doesn't think he'll go over. Or maybe I'm annoyed because I don't want his phone to be better than mine?

[editline]12th July 2011[/editline]
That's ugly as fuck from that image.
Looks like a bad WP7 inspired interface.
Looks like a bad WP7 inspired interface.
Google does copy everyone, or buy them out.
You should really use WiFi.
I do occasionally but my signal at my house is good enough that it doesn't make a difference. I still have "unlimited" for another two years anyway, so unless I at least triple my usage it's not a problem. [editline]12th July 2011[/editline]
Google does copy everyone, or buy them out.
Not debating, but what are some big things that they've copied? I just hate how Apple acts like they're geniuses when they get around to adding features that everyone already has.
Anyone here good with battery stats + where temperatures should be while a phone is active? [editline]12th July 2011[/editline] Because there is no fucking way that everyone's phone is like this.

I REALLY like the new android market. Much more efficient.

What were you doing when you took the temp screenshot though? Mine's at 32 Celsius.

I was walking around Boston and I took out my phone to check twitter and it was hot as hell, so I checked spare parts and yeah.
lol, "Trends".

Whether you like it or not they've pushed smartphone technology forward with the iphone.
I'm going to try out the Xperia at my not-so-local Verizon store, they might have a demo
New Market apk http://www.multiupload.com/HBGM27MVF4 for the impatient Got the link from engadget
Apple has the right to act like geniuses. Two button mouse has been around for 30 years... Apple adds second mouse click capability to their mouse 3 years ago... "Introducing the newest and most revolutionary technology to EVER HIT THE COMPUTER. YOU CAN NOW RIGHT CLICK WITH YOUR MOUSE!" I don't care what technology you have pushed, if you came up to me and told me you came up with a revolutionary idea that was going to change the world and showed me a wheel, I'd kick you in the penis for wasting my time.
New Market apk http://www.multiupload.com/HBGM27MVF4 for the impatient Got the link from engadget
Already updated on my mom's Incredible. She left the old market and within seconds it was updated when she went back.
Apple has the right to act like geniuses. Whether you like it or not they've pushed smartphone technology forward with the iphone.
Hahaha Android existed way before the iPhone did. Just took Google to buy them out.

And after they had just talked about how iOS was already years ahead, too. To tell you the truth, most of the stuff they talked about in the video didn't seem all that new or surprising.
Hahaha Android existed way before the iPhone did. Just took Google to buy them out.
It wasn't released though. Also I never claimed the iphone came first. Perhaps you should re read every post before responding to them so your response makes sense. I said the iphone forwarded smartphone technology, not the iphone came first. Apple even said in that keynote that it was an idea they borrowed from Android. Some of you guys need to get past your childish apple hatred and need to stop acting like Android is the most amazing thing ever, iOS WP7 and Android all have good things and bad things. If you want to get into a debate about what mobile OS pushed forward smartphones I'll point out that every smartphone OS copies webOS in many ways.
iOS and Android are both great- Android is just cheaper, and has more model variety.
iOS and Android are both great- Android is just cheaper, and has more model variety.
I think that also leads to the fragmentation issue we always hear about. Unless you buy the latest and greatest you can't expect to get the latest and greatest version of Android. My other issue is that because google doesn't make money directly from OEMs they have no incentive to provide large updates. Gingerbread was a joke and what we've been hearing about ICS is what gingerbread should have been.

I never said they claim other's ideas as their own, and I'm glad to hear they acknowledged where they got it from. I just hate how they market everything like it's hot shit, even if it's a technology they're only just catching up with. It's totally fair, but annoying.
What about blackberry OS?
Blackberry sucks.
Sure it was "released." Google just bought it first.
No it wasn't? Google bought them in 2003. Could you show me anything android related from 2003? Got my Asus Transformer today, and it's AWESOME! But, I can't seem to find a facebook app for it. Are there no android tablet facebook apps?

Goddamn my phone is starting to feel slow. Oh well, the longer I keep holding out, the more significant the jump is going to be. Dedicated FPU, here I come!
