You must wear extremely tight pants and have tiny pockets. My 4.5-inch infuse fits just fine in my pockets, and I don't wear baggy clothing at all.
I don't know if this will help, but have you considered getting clockwork mod recovery via flashing a kernel initially?
Are you actually in ClockWorkMod Recovery? It sounds like you're talking about the stock recovery in SGSII, which has signature verification and all this crap that lets you only flash specific things.
i flashed a insecure kernel, rooted with s2 root, installed rom manager and flashed clockwork via rom manager
and yea, it probably is the stock recocery mode
the first time i flashed clockwork via rom manager i accidwntly pressed deny whwn it asked for permissions, might that be it? its allowed now though, and it says clockwork is installed

Don't root that way. Flash one of chainfire's kernels via Odin. It'll root and install clockwork recovery. Just my preffered method anyway.

oh, nice
is it the same procedure as flashing a insecure kernel?

Well, either way my main beef with HTC is that the overall idea is great, but their execution is plain bad. The S-LCD is a bad screen that needs to stop being used and replaced with LG's AH-IPS as a sole-source. Their cameras need to be done better, their f/2.2 cameras are on the better side now but still not good enough. The entire phone is just too heavy and thick for newer, bigger screens. Audio as a whole needs improvement, preferably to equal the Galaxy S in sound quality. HTC Sense needs to be built from the ground up for each individual device. Krait can't come any faster.
I really like HTC, I really do. It's just sad that they no longer push the envelope.

Basically, if they can make their phones around the average mass for the market, keep their unibody, integrate better camera, sound, SoCs, better optimization, and better displays. Or they can ditch the unibody in return for a design that is best described as having all the components be thinner than the battery and screen thickness combined.
The ideas that HTC has are great but they compromise far too much in their vision.
I love the size of my HTC Legend, the problem is that it slows down. I wish HTC would release a dual-core version of the legend.
I fucking love the slanted shape at the bottom, such a good phone design. Just needs a bit more screen space and better specs and I'm all jizz.
i'm going to be getting a s II pretty soon but considering i could also get a galaxy tab for about €30, should i get that too

Along with the S2? Hell yeah
But which one is it though?

Here, I'll explain later (or read the thread). Back to work!
EDGE, UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+, and DC-HSPA+ are all supported on the modem. For those keeping track, this means that 2.5G, 3G, 3.5G, 3.75G are all supported by the phone.
HSPA+ and DC-HSPA+ are all backwards compatible to HSPA, and probably UMTS but I'm too lazy to double-check.
My friend at work has T-Mobile (And we're in the US) and his Galaxy S2 only gets Edge, or LTE/4G. He does not get 3G at all, and at the store was told it's not supported because of the bands or some shit. I think it's complete BS since it'd be asinine to sell an amazing phone like that and basically give him dial-up.
I am looking to buy a new phone because but I do not know what one to go for it is quite confusing considering I have not upgraded my phone for a good 5-6 years. I was looking to go with the Android OS considering I am not a huge fan of apple and their iOS, also their iPhone is quite a bit more then I am willing to pay. I was looking at the Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9001 and the ZTE Blade. Both looks quite promising and the ZTE Blade seems like a bargain(Both my uncles have one and they say it is great for the cheap price)
I am looking for other phone suggestions, so I thought that this would be the best place to turn to :v:
AFAIK the ZTE Skate is a little better than the Blade, you might want to look at that.
old? why would you biy a new smartphone unless.the old one is broken or lacking power and features?
nonono
she got the Samsung galaxy s for free from her boss.
She doesn't use it at all, only for Skype which isn't often.
So i got it, for free.
Also, how long is the battery on these things?

How ever long you make it last :v:
The problem I have with my phone is that all the cool features require either continuous wifi connection or 3g connection in the streets but the first one wastes my battery and the second obliterates my credit.
I wish they had free 3g here with a phone that has an incredible battery life. Does the new nexus have any rumors of an amazing battery?
yeah, but the phone was also new. My phone and my moms we're obtained on the same day. I swapped the micro SD cards less than a week either.
I think I can go to Nokia and say that the microSD card they provided was failing.
It could be one of a bad batch.

So I got my Iconia Tab. It's great.
I'm getting thoughts of returning the Galaxy S2 and getting the Nexus Prime. I really like the idea of a clean android OS with frequent updates by Google itself, plus ICS looks fucking sexy so far.. But I'm worried that apps might be buggy on ICS 4.0 ...
oh god the dilemma

Same here, but I decided not to upgrade more often than once per year so I'll wait at least for the Nexus after this one for my next phone. I assume I won't have to wait all that long until there is a ICS ROM for the SGSII. Also I'm sure I can try it out on my sister's Nexus S.
it'll take some time until bugs on the ICS ROMs are ironed out imho, or until all features are going to work 100%. An official update from Samsung is most probably going to come too, but that'll be months and it's going to be flooded with 79 hubs and three Samsung Apps applications ಠ_ಠ
I need to hear the price, technical specifications and if there won't be incompatibility issues with apps. If all of that is good, I don't think I will be able to control myself.
-snip- late post.

Wait wha-STOP THE PRESS.

1.2GHz? I was expecting it to be like ... 1.5GHz? Better than the S2 and all that.. even some rumors said that already

Few posts up man
Why's google "supposedly" going for a 5 MP camera on the Galaxy Nexus and not a 8 MP camera?
Not sure about the Galaxy Nexus, the Note really sold me on the 5.3 inch screen. Going to be a tough call come November.
