Ha, launch in november solves my GS2 return dilemma. I'll just wait for an ICS ROM instead. Is there any word when the source code will be available?

CM for TI OMAP 4 SoCs will probably get it first, you'll likely have to wait on Samsung to get their shit in gear though.
I got an problem with my HTC Desire, Spotify related.
Every time I budge my headset cord, even so just slightly (like have it in the pocket and sit down/stand up so it moves a millimeter), it skips to the next song.
This is really fucking annoying and I can not seem to find a solution. My friend mentioned that he saw something in the phones settings (his phone, SE Xperia Play), but I can not find that either.
Could it be wrong with my cord? Or is it phone related?
I have the same problem with my desire HD. When I twitch it to the right he pauses the song. To the left he skips the song and if I push it down he makes a call to the last called number which is really annoying when your riding a bike and your barely able to cancel the call.

I think it's because of the phone, since it also happen to the winamp app once.
Come on, show my ZTE Blade some Android 4.0 love...

I don't get the pause or call thingys, just skip to next song when I touch the damn thing.
Is there any fix at all?
I haven't really looked into that issue. I thought it might be a problem of the jack that touches the sensible socket for commands such as skip the song and stuff. It's more of a hardware problem. Google might find an answer to that.
I've tried but I can not find anything related.
this might help, trying it out now.

it comes with a smart wdiget. Seems to work so far. Let's see how it works in long term.
Works like a charm, thank you man, for finding that :v: <3
I'm also glad I found that :v:
Fucking troubled me for long enough.
Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, is the SDK the real release client or will that come later? And how do i update my SGS2 to 4.0?
my ZTE Blade is now nothing more than a fancy alarmclock.
The open source release will be later on, and 4.0 is not out yet for SGS2.

Any timeplan for that? or is it TBA?
Sooo I'm running my S2 on vanilla for a while now but I want to try something different now.
What do you guys suggest me?

Nothing official (that I know of) but custom (unofficial) ICS ROMs could get released before Christmas.
An official update by samsung? several months (Q1 2012 being the most optimistic time)..
Watching a recording of it now.
WOW
ICS looks so well made
Will the GSM version have LTE?
Will the GSM version have LTE?
What we know so far is there will be a general HSPA+ version, and a region-specific LTE version
Here's my plan, use insurance to repair Galaxy S2. Sell it + Dock and Case and others for £450. Get Galaxy Nexus :v:

FYI, Google will release the open-source version of Android 4.0 "some weeks" after the release of the Galaxy Nexus, so expect it in December.
Andy Rubin just did an interview at the AsiaD (an All Things Digital event) conference, that's where I heard it.
