Was stable CM7 released on SGSI?
It have surely taken them a long time
Now I wonder if I should return to nightlies or flash stable
I thought you guys get all the cool phones before us? Or at least get a GSM version?
Mostly from Samsung, because Samsung is awesome. But Motorola completely ignores Europe. I don't think I have ever seen anyone owning a Motorola smartphone.
Also, now for this...
Where do I get all this? I am fairly (smoking fresh) new to rooting phones, I've only ever jailbreaked iPods and iPhones, so please, some help?
I'm a bit afraid of googleing, as some shit can always be harmful (Now I sound really gay) but still, I think it's better if someone here can recommend the stuff.
Very useful.

MIUI Official dev ROM for SGSII out!
There's photos of the HTC Rezound headed to Verizon. Just a refresher on the phone:
1.5 GHz Snapdragon S3 processor, 1 GB RAM, 4.3" screen @ 1280x720 S-LCD most likely, 1620 mAh stock battery with 2750 mAh official extended battery, 8 MP camera rear, 2 MP front, Beats by Dr. Dre branded, LTE, EV-DO, 1x, replacement for the Thunderbolt. Runs Gingerbread with HTC Sense 3.5.

IMO Google should have the battery percentage automatically show up in the battery bar for stock Android, and battery calibration should be able to be done through an integrated system application that has explicit directions to properly calibrate it so people stop BAWWing about how their phone has shit battery life.
Way too ostentatious.
If I'd buy a new smartphone, which one should I get: the Galaxy Nexus or the SGS II?
The Galaxy Nexus does have a 1280x720 screen, a better design and Android 4.0 (although that is only a temporary advantage), but the SGS II has a better GPU for playing games, a better camera and a better screen. Any opinions on which one I should buy (I have an ancient HTC Magic right now, so really anything is an upgrade)?

Depends on if you want an awesome everything experience or a slightly more awesome high-end gaming experience. Since proper games tend to suck because of the lack of buttons I'd take the Nexus.
Well, you do realize that the SGS II will eventually get the ICS as well?
Combine that with the stronger GPU on SGS II and you'll have awesome experience all around.

I know it has a better GPU but I don't really frequently game on my phone, even if I do, it doesn't need to be super duper graphics. The two main things I want is a good screen and good support from the modding community.
My main problem is that the Nexus screen has an HD resolution, but is Super AMOLED (so it uses a PenTile matrix), where the SGS II has a Super AMOLED Plus screen (with an RGB matrix), but a crappy resolution.

The SGS2's resolution isn't exactly crappy, but it could be a bit better

Then let it no longer be a problem:

I don't even see the purpose of buying their phone. Yeah, they may have good quality and precious stones, but its RUNNING FUCKING SYMBIAN. At least get a Iphone or android phone with precious stones instead goddammit.
Alright, since I have a Xoom on the way now, I have some app questions.
Primarily, is there a C++ IDE available for Android? I'm looking to see if I can't replace my old Centrino Duo GMA950 laptop that has to run Fedora and has a failing wireless card. It's for homework purposes, and if all else fails I can use SSH, but then I'd need to use a VPN. Does HC support a VPN? If so, even better.
Finally, what would I gain from rooting/installing a custom ROM? Tiamat is pretty good it seems but if I don't have any real benefit aside from performance, I might just skip it.
Thanks :v:
If you have to ask what you gain from rooting then it isn't for you
Depends on the class of the sd card
I'm using a class 4 SD card right now.
Neat, before wiping the battery stats I'd be at 30% after a day of medium usage (whatsapp, internet and music) and constant wifi connection.
after wiping I'm at 74%

Didn't think it'd be impossible, what with Android being Unix-based and all.
Thoughts on the Xperia Arc S?
Is there an app that can stream files from PC to phone over WiFi?
I'd like it. I have a 2GB memory card and it is pmuch full and I would like to listen to music what I can't fit on my phonw and maybe watch movies.

Any UPnP client. I think you'd have to have WMP open though.
What ADW skins do you guys recommend?
Does anyone know how to fix the horrible android wallpaper quality? Here's an example:

The left one is set using Widgetlocker in the lockscreen, and the right one is one the homescreen set using Launcher Pro, but is of much worse quality. Even though they are from the same image file.
Will I be able to use 3G on my Iconia if I buy one of these MiFi routers?
Beefied up my Motorola Defy with those Ice Cream Sandwich packs, Roboto sure looks better than Droid Sans
Looks fucking awesome, you guys should try it
links to the said packs?
I finally rooted my Wildfire and installed CM7 on it! Now I shall make my own build of CM7 and flash it onto my phone.
