You must not own a Bionic then. 5hr charge vs a full day now, yeah, I think I'll use it.
Doesn't it just throttle settings? I'm curious to know what it does in order to save battery life because I have used it before and it did nothing.
I think it turns off data when you aren't using it, and then turns it on when you wake it up. Much easier than toggling it every time you sleep your phone.

Give this man a cookie.
In addition, there's a plethoraeu of other features that you could do on your own, but does for you. Simplifies your life.

Yay!
I'm. So. Fucking. Tired. of people making shitty paid/non self hosted server-client connection bridges to Steam, it's not even funny. How about some either makes a server that you can host, with an app that doesn't look like ass, and release it in a package, or, just port goddamn SteamRE to android?

Good read there

[release]
6GB of download.
25GB disk space to do a single build.
80GB disk space to build all AOSP configs at the same time.
16GB RAM recommended, more preferred, anything less will measurably
benefit from using an SSD.
5+ hours of CPU time for a single build, 25+ minutes of wall time, as
measured on my workstation (dual-E5620 i.e. 2x quad-core 2.4GHz HT,
with 24GB of RAM, no SSD).
[/release]
This is where using EC2 would really come in handy. Execute the build in an hour on EC2 and presto, working version of Android in an hour for cheap.

Why not just leave it off? You should only enable it whenever you actually need to use it.

However if you have a single integrated baseband this is all a fucking waste of time and anything that uses push or pulls at the wrong time simply will fail to sync.
The real solution is if Android was made to stay on EDGE/EVDO until exceeds a certain bandwidth and then it kicks up to LTE/HSPA+.

I'm pretty sure it is based on SteamRe
The main question is, is selling SteamRe components legal

-edit-
I also really like the Tablet-pc concept, and having usb slots in a tablet sounds amazing

Although considering I don't really use my Transformer for anything but web browsing, email and stuff like that, I don't really see the necessity.
I currently have an HTC Desire with Android 2.2 and HTC Sense. Would you recommend upgrading to Android 2.3 with a custom ROM? Half a year left before my mobile subscription expires, so I still want to make the most of my phone.

You must install a custom ROM
It makes your phone much much much better
The Fennec nightlys' new tablet UI is pretty awesome. If you've got a honeycomb tablet you should try it.

Yay!
For $2? Nope.
Check in the programming section, a guy's working on a free alternative.
Yay, just installed Cyanogen 7 with the Honeycomb theme.

My phone feels incredibly smoother now and I love all of the new features. Thanks guys!
Okay, should I wait for Galaxy Nexus or buy the GSII?
I can get the GSII for 300 euros unlocked.
wait

As said, wait because the prizes are going to drop a lot when a big phone like Galaxy Nexus goes up for sale.

EDIT: sorry, not meant for here.
I'm pretty sure it is based on SteamRe

No, what they're doing is hosting a server that their app connects to that then uses SteamRE to connect to steam and operate. They're relaying all traffic through their server, discovered when they want you to sign up for their website and port forward internally so that the app can connect to and from it.
What they really need to do is port SteamRE itself to Android, but...

I know, but it's not working anymore
I know, but it's not working anymore
You can't call this one working either. The app just acts like a relay, to use it, you have to be logged in Steam and have a service running on your computer.
