ITT: People taking Dav0r seriously :v:
this, so much.
Dav0r is no fun here when there's no garrynohome...
This app is the best one out there. www.milepics.com
And you guys never bash iOS one bit
My dad has an iphone 4 and an iPad 2. He's the typical fanboy, which he won't deny. He won't shut up about how Apple's business strategies are "really good" (he laughs at all the news articles about Apple suing Samsung etc.) A password protected iPad can be accessed by pressing two buttons in a certain order (power and home). A locked Iphone 4S will do anything if you ask Siri (with the default settings) Developing an app on iOS costs at least 99$ per year if you want to release it, even if you want to release it for free. You have to do develop it on OSX. If you persist and really want to develop your app on Windows, you'll have to go hacky by either downloading DragonFireSDK (also damn expensive) or deal with simple compilers like ChainFire. Developing in Windows is really hard compared to developing on a mac. Android does a way better job at this, the registration fee is 25$, the OS is open source and easier to develop on, Google doesn't check your apps personally to see if there are things that "they don't like". Android has way more customization capabilities than iOS. Having more than one functional button on your phone is also really useful, you know, going back one screen and a menu button... There is more choice in android phones. You can't buy a "budget" Iphone. You can buy the one with the lowest memory, but those things still has apple prices. With android phones you could buy a budget phone with less capabilities, a high-end phone with everything on it and everything in between. So stick your iphone up your beard dav0r :v: I'm not angry at you dav0r. I'm venting my anger for my dad onto you.
And Flash
Don't mind me, just dicking around with BoxCar 2d on my smartphone.
fuck i clicked that and i'm at work and now I can't stop
Splashtop is $1 on the market today. Totally worth it, I can remote control what my computer is doing while I sit on the sofa in another room.
I will tell you all something right now, on my HTC Desire I used to have to charge my phone every single night, meaning the battery would last around 12 hours. I recently Flashed the CyanogenMod ROM on my phone and in addition I'm using Juice defender on the balanced setting. I just looked at my phone and realised that I haven't charged it in 4 days and it still has 30% battery left, I truly am astonished!

I might get a Creative ZEN Touch 2 to replace my current MP3 player. [editline]24th October 2011[/editline] Reviews say it crashes a lot, but those people also don't sound like they're as smart. The ones that enjoy it sound like they know a little bit about what they're dealing with.
Should I wait until the Galaxy Nexus comes out to upgrade my old phone? I'm eligible for an upgrade around December.
Guys, I'm looking for a cheap Android phone because my illiteratephone is dying off after 3 years of use. Also I don't have a lot of money, just to give you an idea the Galaxy S1 is already out of my budget because of the god damn insane taxes in Brazil. I don't care about having a super-high contrast SAMOLED screen, random 4G/3D bullshit, 720p video playback, camera or custom UI, but here's what I would like to have: • A decently sized multi-touch screen. I don't like having to punch the god damn screen for it to detect as a "touch". As for size, anything bigger than 240x320 is fine. • Rootable: I don't want a locked-down phone, and would like to be able to update Android + install random games from the internet without having to download it from the Market and waste my precious non-existent money. And it would be nice if it hasn't vanished from the market, too. Where the hell do you guys even find ZTE Blades for sell? Searching for it here just results in PS2 Driver games and shitty dumbphones :v:

Archos seems to know what they're doing, compared to Creative nowadays, but it's still up to you.
I'm looking at the Galaxy 551, and apparently it's pretty nice. However the reviews are quite conflicting: some say it sucks and it's not powerful enough to do anything, others say it's a great mid-range phone except for some minor flaws. Some say the speakers are too low, others say they're great and loud. Some say it doesn't have DivX support, others say it does... what the hell is this crap?
Due to the fact that my Droid X suffered a unfortunate accident and the Galaxy Nexus isn't even out yet, i've been forced to pull out my old Archos 5IT and oh my GOD i hate archos so much right now

Well I hav a Xperia Mini pro and it's pretty good, it's like small, 3 inch screen, can play games and such, powerful processor for a mid range phone. but i would recommend a phone with at least 3.5 inch screen since you can play every single game on the market.
Does anyone have the Archos 32? Do you think the 3.2 inch screen is too small for a internet tablet? I don't plan on doing any major web surfing but I like the a lot of the other features.
My cyanogenmod settings keep crashing. Help please. And I have the stable latest caynogenmod 7, how come I cannot download this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1243590&highlight=galaxy+s+2 Also, browser keeps crashing also
My cyanogenmod settings keep crashing. Help please. And I have the stable latest caynogenmod 7
Try reflashing Cyanogenmod, a lot of the time it magically fixes the problem. If that doesn't solve it then I suggest you roll back to CM 7.0.3 instead of 7.1.0
Is there anything about Cyanogen that makes it more appealing than Apex?
I got an Xperia Play a few weeks ago, and I was wondering if I should root it. Can anybody tell me the pros and cons of rooting a device? Thanks
Pros: - Get full access to the device e.g. under/overclocking - Can flash custom ROMs - Can use applications that require root privileges Cons: - Voids warranty (can still unroot and reinstall factory ROM) - 0.01% chance of bricking phone
