I wonder when will we stop giving winners to people that buy a Galaxy S2.. when Galaxy Nexus hits the shops? When S3 does?
Just curious :v:

oh, also: anyone knows about a working music control app/widget for WidgetLocker? Stock GS2 ROM, default music player.
I wish they'd have that as a default feature in WidgetLocker..
I tried Phantom Music Control Pro, and although it's the only widget with auto-hide when music is not playing, it doesn't work properly with the stock music player :(
When the S3 does
do you mean this?
It works with offline content
[editline]26th October 2011[/editline]
Sorry I meant the asop one https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jrtstudio.music
Nope, market says that's not compatible with the Galaxy S2 anyway.
I mean something like this https://market.android.com/details?id=cz.jhg.musiccontrolwidget&hl=en, but as I said, this is kinda buggy at the moment.
However, I contacted the author and hopefully he can fix it or punch me in the face and show me what I did wrong.
I remember using Phantom Music Control, wasn't that good really. I use UberMusic now, it's a nice music player and has widgets too. Doesn't have an equalizer or audio settings though for you audiophiles, but it can be fixed with DSP Manager
do i need to do a battery calibration everytime i:
- flash a new kernel?
- restore a backup?
do i need to do a battery calibration everytime i:

I wouldn't think it's necessary unless your battery seems wonky afterwards
well, the first kernel i flashed mightve been wrong
is there anyway to see what kernel i had as original?

not original picture, but could this determine what kernel i had as original?

i took that pic and now the battery is at 69%
i dint think its the correct kernel
Post battery usage stats please
It could also be an incorrect modem/radio? I don't have that much experience with that stuff, since nothing really went wrong with my phone yet
Dropsync + Tasker?
Try searching wifi sync as well
So, Tasker schedules tasks and Dropsync will move files over wifi to a Windows server?
aight, hold on
in the meantime, i had kernel KE7 before that one, which seemed to be more stable
but i dont know, just flashed back to ke7 now but the battery problem seems to persist

i know wifi been on for a while, but the battery didnt drop that much since its not been awake
its just now recwntly it started to drop pretty fast
Hmm, the sudden drops when the phone is awake are quite strange
Well shit I'm having a similar thing, the phone was awake for the entire 6-7 hours I had it here, and I didn't even touch it once
its down on 60 now
[editline]26th October 2011[/editline]
im gonna try go back to original rom
[editline]26th October 2011[/editline]
alright, back on original rom
seems more stable as ice been on 55 percent after the restore a while
Yeah, mine's stable too now, this drain is widespread and has multiple causes from what I read on XDA
appearently im not as stable as i thought
im on 49 now
what the fuck is the problem!?
On Verzion: Droid Bionic or Droid RAZR?
Oh damn, it was the new version of widgetlocker that used up all my battery, changed back to 2.1 and it works fine
Okay wtf, now 2.2 works fine, I just played with HomeHelper
im on cyonagenmod right now, clean fresh install
gonna charge to 100% and calibrate
I need to fix my market on my SGSII, a lot of apps say it's not compatible. Even things like Facebook.

Have you changed the LCD density? Market thing happens to me too, but only when my LCD density was changed
Does anybody know of a tablet app that will allow me to use my tablet like a WACOM tablet? I want to do some drawing on my PC, but I don't want to shell out $50+ for a completely separate device.
im on cyonagenmod right now, clean fresh install

Gonna get my Xoom tomorrow! It's at Henderson, CO, about a 30 minute drive north of me!
On Verzion: Droid Bionic or Droid RAZR?
Bionic. The RAZR doesn't even have a user serviced battery!
Yes but I think the patent also covers that, since
I've read that Samsung has nullified that patent in the Netherlands though :v:
In other news, Widget Locker has updated to 2.2 and has the ICS 'slider'/circle/whatever-that-is and it is really nice.
Touchwiz has had the "slide to any edge of the screen to unlock" so it bypasses it, HTC Sense 3.0 has had the "pull the ring from the bottom of the screen to anywhere to unlock" so it doesn't apply either. The only one who might get sued is Google, and I doubt they will be.
I've heard some say that when you buy a phone and new contract through somewhere like newegg wireless you can't take the phone to a verizon store if you have any problems, and other things that basically amount to "it's not through verizon, but through a third-party"
Is this true?

I'm pretty sure you don't mention where you got the phone at all and Verizon don't give a shit.
Is there a good (preferably free) Locker that allows for a pattern passcode without having to go through two lockscreens?

:eng101:
The Cyanogenmod team are going to pull that apart in seconds like Jawas.
To those who have seemingly completely eliminated any possible source of battery drain but their sleep battery drain is around 20% in 7-8 hours, my suggestion is to fully charge the phone. No, not until it says, 100%, until in spare parts or Battery Calibration ( https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration ) states that the voltage is as high as your battery is rated for (around 4.2-4.3), you can also use CurrentWidget or something similar to see if it can show your battery charge rate, and once it hits 0 mA and you restart, then let it reach 0 mA again to make sure you've actually charged it, wipe the battery stats with the phone plugged in, reboot the phone, then and ONLY THEN, unplug the phone, make sure it's fully drained (Run it down until the phone is force-shutoff before the battery dies), then recharge your phone, and feel free to recharge it whenever you want, because hopefully the battery stats file is properly done and it doesn't show an inaccurate battery gauge/inaccurate drain.
