what about the note?
For all the people posting images of their battery drain, I've noticed you all have pretty hefty partial wakelock issues.
The max amount of battery life you should have with your phone is with the battery calibrated properly, and around 1 percent or so of partial wakelock on top of the screen on time.

It passed through FCC in October, but as of yet there's no official date. Assume Q1-Q2 2012.
So anyonr know why cm7 battery life is so shit?
It does more.

If your phone isn't very well supported by CM7 devs with other people making customized kernels for your model phone, there's not much you can do, really.
I'd imagine CM7 on the Nexus S and such should have the best battery life per mAh of any Android when properly set up, but otherwise it's a crapshoot. Your best bet is to find someone who makes custom versions of CM7 for your phone, with tweaks from the kernel to other bits within the ROM.

Sounds like Samsung/Sprint 'dun goofed with the software, on the bright side this isn't a hardware issue that might require a lot of warranty returns...
There is a preorder for Asus Prime on some website called preorder.it
I wonder if it's legit
[editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
Nevermind it's not a preorder
Why would you call a rumor website preorder.it and put a price there?
All you MIUI Galaxy SGSII users listen up!
Hey guys, MIUI 1.10.28 for sgs2 will be releasd at 5:00 this afternoon! About half an hour later, are you excited? :)
Are there any 8-bit/pixel themes? The irony of having a 1280x800 display and an 8-bit theme is tantalising.
I'm finally tired of the the default HTC rom on my desire. What's the best custom rom out there?
I heard lots of good things about cyanogenmod.
Just flashed the user data image of my nandroid backup and now my phone gets stuck at the CyanogenMod boot screen (the blue skateboarding Android). What could have gone wrong?
I enabled FASTBOOT and transfered the image using:
fastboot.exe flash userdata data.img
bleh, my xoom has a stuck pixel
it was also refurb and it's only noticeable on dark colors so not a big deal i guess
what are some must-have tablet apps?

What version of CM did you use when you made the backup and what version are you using now?
In any case, the easiest way would be to just go back to the old system+user data, backup everything using TitaniumBackup and only restoring what you need after updating to the new CM version again.

Oh, I made the backup before flashing CM, so I was running the stock ROM when I made the backup. Is there any way to easily extract phone numbers from the image? It's only like 20 I need, so I can easily just re-add them.
Still looking for an app to back my SD card up to a Windows server over wifi...

I think CM works somewhat 'different' from stock ROMs so that's why you have to do a full wipe of your phone before flashing. As for the phone numbers, I don't know

Oh I do remember there being an app that could do this but I can't remember the name, it's on Android Police somwhere.

miui is so user-friendly and loaded with functions, its awesome
i don't like the miui launcher
good thing it's android and you have a shitload of choices
Anyone know if there's kernel for SGS I9000 2.3.3JVH that includes Voodoo Sound ?
As i haven't found any on xda developers atleast currently running voodoo kernel but it doesn't have Voodoo Sound and Voodoo Color in this Gingerbread version.
Also soft bricked my phone for the first time today while trying to install Touchwiz 4 and afterwards realized it was for de-odexed roms so it caused my Tw launcher to force close and couldn't do anything and went and tried to restore with the backup i made before trying to install TW4 with CWM... But after the restore was ready and i rebooted my phone it didn't boot anymore so had to flash stock rom back.

Get yourself some CyanogenMod on that :v:
Does anybody know how I can bypass a "too many pattern attempts" menu?
Some asshole at work decided to try and unlock my phone multiple times and managed to get me onto this screen.
It'd be useful if the phone actually unlocked with my username + password but I doubt it's working , as right after I press "sign in" it immediately says invalid password / username. Wouldn't it have to go to some authentication server , meaning there'd be some delay?
I really don't want to do a factory reset on my phone as I'll lose messages and contacts and there are some things I really don't want to lose. Does anybody know how I can bypass it , fix the login or just take me back to the pattern unlock screen?
Cheers in advance
