Holy fuck that's awesome. The dock really adds to the effect too.
Woooh my Thunder Bolt finally got updated this morning to 2.3.4
Is there a live wallpaper that looks like DeepEnd for iOS?
There's "3D Wallpaper Effect" but it only allows one crappy picture.
I never thought the Xoom was really anything special. It's more of a prototype than a full tablet.
It's the Google Experience device, and if I may say so myself, after using a Transformer and my Xoom, the build quality of the Xoom is something great although it lacks IPS and all that fun stuff.
On a side node, just got off the phone with my bank, they disabled my card because they thought my app purchases were fraudulent, I had to explain "See that $340 purchase way down in my history? Yeah, I bought an Android tablet." :v:

Why everytime iOS has some good apps no one makes one for android.
does ROM manager make it easy to dick around with roms or what, dayum
is it possible to flash a new ROM and then install all the data I had before, including settings?
nvm
discovered titanium backup and nandroid
Nandroid won't help if it's a different ROM. That's why Overv got the bootloop.
i've decided just to flash a new kernel since I don't need any benefits of a new ROM
unfortunately CWMR isn't in the correct SD card directory (/sdcard instead of /mnt/external1)
edit: downgraded to 3.0.2.5 CWM and boom, flashed Rogue kernel onto my Xoom
now OC'd to 1504MHz. slowness is a thing of the past
Is the Xoom good? I want a cheap tablet, and I heard the Xoom was good, I don't care how old it is.

I like it. It's got a really good build quality, comparable to the iPad. It's got some heft to it, but when you can overclock it to 1.504GHz as easily as I did, you'll love it.

I'm trying to get the $400 from BestBuy, I'll see how it goes. I really wanted it when it first came out but I wasn't going to pay $800 for a tablet.

Make sure it's not the Xoom Family Edition, I don't think it's as open as the Xoom, but it does have an IPS screen.
You can also get a refurbished 32GB online like I did but it turns out mine had one teensy stuck pixel. Not a big deal to me, but it's a gamble that may prove worth it.

It has censoring apps which you can remove, I think that is what you mean.

I meant nobody knows how to root it yet, last I checked.
Trust me, after using my 1GHz stock clock, I'll never go back. I needed the root to OC and install a custom kernel and now it's fast and zippy as fuck.

Nandroid always works
It backups everything. as long as you have access to CWM you'll be fine

yeah on my Xoom it's one of the volume buttons while booting
I really want to use espier launcher but it's sooo ugly because of it's lack of custom icon support and inability to hide apps

fuck, i would be able to live with the mediocre android icons if the launcher turned them into different colors like it shows on the market:

vs

which is better?
I've flashed both and I can't tell a difference in speed tbh
If you can't tell, what's the problem?

You can get a few apps which have FTP. File Expert is one I think.
You can get a few apps which have FTP. File Expert is one I think.
Can it do scheduled tasks?
So my Desire HD has HTC Sense 3.0 with the ultra-smooth launcher patch that renders all widgets in 2D.
Perfect 60 fps with no drops in framerate is delicious.
what are some good live wallpapers
Protocol, I am in no rush to root it, heck by the time I buy it they should probably have a root out for it already.
what are some good live wallpapers
Microbes, Nexus, Nexus Revamped, Neon Microcosm, Aquarium, Grass, Hyperspace, Koi, Snowfall, Wave Live Wallpaper, Windy Weather, Luna Stream.
So I fucked up my Captivate earlier (no big surprise), and I'm looking for a new ROM, any suggestions?

Looks good to me.

I have 30 days to return this piece of shit phone dumbphone I got with a new line and get something decent. For some reason the Galaxy S2 is a no-go from AT&T, the Atrix 2 has no dev community, the Infuse 4G is out of date already.
Ideas?

As in, where the fuck is the HTC Raider 4G, Galaxy Nexus, and the Galaxy Note? I need them to be out before November 28.

We know the Nexus drops on Verizon on or around the 10th, so it's possible it may hit Ma Bell at around the same time.
