thats $2.40 a year man
$2.40 that may let you out of a two year agreement. Isn't that amazing?
Is there actually any concrete info on what's coming in Ice Cream Sandwich other than it supporting any form factor from small phones to large tablets?
If anyone here gets the Droid 3 could you PM me and tell me what it's like? I had the Droid 1 and then upgraded for free to Droid 2 (They were out of stock and I was in my military uniform saying I needed it for work, which I did. Got really lucky I guess) and when the D2 broke they didn't want to give me a refurbished one for free so I got the cheapest smartphone, a Droid X and I reallllllly don't like it. I need a keyboard. But sadly, I've heard many BAD things about the Droid 3 and it really turns me off. One thing I heard was the screens horrible. Any help would be appreciated.
And locked bootloader.
Good/bad news for T-mobile users. T-mobile is increasing the regulatory fee by 20 cents. The good part about this is it could be a way for you all to break your contracts. Now if this is a material change you may want to do an upgrade before august 15th and then break your contract. Free phone for the win? [editline]14th July 2011[/editline] I just learned from the source that it's simply a software issue with the proximity sensor. Nothing to worry about.
I'm stuck with T-Mobile and am definitely interested in this... I've been wanting to upgrade my phone for AGES now (it's not even a smartphone) and I'm stuck in a Family Plan contract. How exactly would I go about breaking it without having to pay the $200 fee? I'm not really good with contract/phone company lingo, so I don't even know what a regulatory fee is.... Help would be appreciated!
Quick question lads, how is it that on Youtube people with the Galaxy S2 people are getting around 3,400-3,800 points on Quadrant, while on mine ,the max I can get is 2,999 sometimes, usually one 2,700? Even after I clear all applications and ram? And they're supposedly not overclocked.

It's an awful benchmark anyway. Linpack or benchmark 2011 are better.

[editline]14th July 2011[/editline] Seems to be doing as well as expected now, unlike quadrant. Thanks :) Now all that's left is to root this lil guy. Any one got a link to a tutorial for rooting the GS2?

Ah thanks, it says it's still in beta and has some issues for the GS2 for now, I'm heading out of town for a month so I'll give it a try when I get back.
Hey android thread, need a little help here. I want to replace my Blackberry, seeing as I don't use the service quite often and that it's damn expensive, to an Android phone. I've been looking around and I can't seem to find a decent one. I'm looking for one with a decent camera, decent specs, and one that's around about ~$200.
Is the TMobile G-Slate any good?
I flashed Blay0's rom based on Sense, leaving CyanogenMod behind. Holy crap I'm going back to CM right fucking now.
I flashed Blay0's rom based on Sense, leaving CyanogenMod behind. Holy crap I'm going back to CM right fucking now.
Sense just takes too many resources. It isn't worth it.
Sense just takes too many resources. It isn't worth it.
Agreed. Sense is a piece of shit.
No kidding.
Agreed. Sense is a piece of shit.
It's definitely pretty. But if I wanted to have something like Sense I'd just use the launcherpro Sense skin and widgets. Sure the flip clock doesn't flip but it also frees up a ton of resources compared to real Sense. Also. It seems like HTC has some sort of weather obsession. Am I the only one to notice this? They've got a ton of stuff for Sense that relates to checking the weather.
HTC Sense, now with more rain. [editline]14 july 2011[/editline] What the... Last time I checked, I had some 1580+ posts. Wtf?

I would love to know what my true post count is (including culled posts)
Sense IS pretty though.
Optimized like shit though. You could emulate Sense very closely with LauncherPro with half of the resource consumption.
Yeah, I guess. Also ADW Launcher is much faster, I noticed it on my G1 and that is saying something, cuz that is slow as shit.
Is Tmobile USA getting it?
Apparently yes, under the name Hercules.
Apparently yes, under the name Hercules.
Lol phone names are getting so stupid.
Goddamn my stupid phone. I flashed the latest CM7 and the 6/13 GApps, but now I can't add my google account to the phone. The startup screen never popped up and the only account I can add is the exchange one...
Go to Market and it should get you to the screen to add a new account. Should.
The market isn't even there. And it's weird because I also flashed aosp, liquidsense, and jaybob's aosp and they all have the same problem. I even tried flashing different gapps.
So guys, do I go for a ZTE blade or a wildfire, does the wildfire have any special HTC things or whatever, because that was the main reason I liked android when I used my girlfriends HTC desire
ZTE. Get ADWLauncher on it, problem solved.
