FUCK. Received my Galaxy S2 today, but it's not the right goddamn model version. It was advertised as i9100, it's actually a T989 aka Hercules. That means a weaker processor, correct? Are the differences large enough that I should return it and try again from another retailer?
What? The app? Anyway, I decided to release a quick&dirty update to fix the two most common issues (which you mentioned earlier). It should already be out but I think the Market will take some time to update. Originally I planned on releasing them together with the wallpaper scrolling feature, but that would have meant I'd have to rewrite major parts of the code while the bugs were easily fixable in the old code.
Could you make this work on android? That was added in Gingerbread 2.3
Isn't ICS getting the tube TV shutoff added?
You have that in all major custom ROMs
I know that is in android, talking about the others
I know I have asked that for a couple of thousand times, but is there a ROM like CM7 which uses the stock android launcher and is often updated?
I know that is in android, talking about the others
None of the ones they demoed came close to looking as good as the Gingerbread CRT-off, which is perfect imo

Also, the processor is kind of a yes and no, it's a 1.5GHz Qualcomm in the Hercules and a 1.2GHz A9 in the T9100. But as we all know GHz isn't all and IIRC the Hercules has a worse graphics chip.

Fortunately for me this may actually be an i777, and as far as I know the only difference between the i777 and the i9100 is the capacitive home button.
So i should uninstall the antivirusand forget about th need fo it and malware on my phone?
Android Antiviruses are made to get money from you They basically try to make you uninstall superuser, force you to uncheck the "Install from unknown sources" tick and unload some apps from background to "improve your security" Only viruses on android are SMS senders, as long as you read app permissions everything will be fine

So. New Samsung Galaxy S II. What do? And by that I mean what should I do first? Dive right into Cyanogen mod? Essential apps, tweaks, etc?
Droid Bionic updates through the unofficial tracks are a god damn mess. Breaking webtop and shit, and having to roll back to stock each time. Luckily, I have App Extractor to save me for that. Going to give it a try this round versus using Titanium. By the way, I have a couple devices (for sale) for AT&T if anyone is interested: Atrix 4G iPhone 4 (unlockable, SHSH) iPhone 3GS (unlockable, SHSH) HTC Hero (unlocked).

Tried flashing MIUI from cm7, forgotten to wipe data, now boot loops. How do I get to CMW back again? Via Odin?
Tried flashing MIUI from cm7, forgotten to wipe data, now boot loops. How do I get to CMW back again? Via Odin?
Isn't this like the 3rd time you forgot to wipe data? CWM wouldn't have disappeared as MIUI doesn't include a recovery. Home+Power+Up
IGNhelper, let's trade phones, installing ROMs on my HD2 is much easier. [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline]
...Can't you just connect it to the PC, do a full format of it to FAT32?
WP7 does some weird shit to them, so to format them I'd need to either use a Nokia phone or re-install WP7 on my HD2
At the note launch event now. Will give impressions on it soon. [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] The screen is actually amazingly crisp. No lag whatsoever either and the stylus input is extremely accurate. Very impressed.

She told you a right thing, and since I prefer capitalism, we can trade. So let's trade!

Anyone know any good apps to customize my home screen? Tryingto keep it minimalistic.
Launchy pro?
