Im still raging that my phone has too little ram, it technically has 512mb but the total after android os uses is 350 or so mb and i usually get 100mb free, wow my phone needs more ram. I dont think i can upgrade it though... My phone would be epic with 768mb or 1gb...
Download swapper if you're rooted. It makes a swap file on your SDcard and it caches open apps. Tweeak it until it's right for your phone. My HTC magic had 10mb free memory and I managed to get by ok :v:
Decided to give my old Ipod touch (I will never touch IOS again, anyways) to my little brother and decided to download some games Game developers, why you don't go crossplatform :( [editline]6th November 2011[/editline] So many new games from kairosoft
http://downloadmoreram.com/
Oh my god, thank you so much! I now have 4gb of ram! Woot! I think your old ipod touch can run it...
Oh my god, thank you so much! I now have 4gb of ram! Woot!
you just made some phone developers very very mad.
you just made some phone developers very very mad.
Good. Their fault for not adding more ram onto my phone. I'm guessing that if i root my phone, ill get more free ram. Brb, downloading moar ram [editline]5th November 2011[/editline]
That's not what I meant, sorry for easily misunderstandable post I have an extremely old Ipod touch which I have replaced with SGS and now I absolutely love android and absolutely hate IOS I have decided to give my Ipod to brother, opened appstore to get some games and have noticed that there are TONS of games which are not yet released on android and which I am waiting for for ages [editline]6th November 2011[/editline] Still easily misunderstandable but I hope I make it more clear [editline]6th November 2011[/editline] On topic Installing that Stock+ rom now
Oh, so that's what you mean. Well either way a lot of devs went crossplatform, usually a year or so after the iOS release. I wonder if there is a iOS emulator for Android..... [editline]5th November 2011[/editline]
It technically is, just at 16kbps :v: [editline]5th November 2011[/editline] I have a 2GB cap per month
Basically the most you can possible download is over 5gb, i did the math for that 16kbps speed cap, youll get. 5184mb, add in the higher speed caps, etc, your still looking at 5-6gb or data usage per 30 day month. Not a lot a that crap speed.
Ok guys, I got my phone in a reboot loop, and all my backups give a MD5 mismatch for some reason I can access the CWM but even if I factory restore my phone it gives me a loop What can I do now?
Install a new rom and use an app extractor to get your backup'd apps.
Guys after fiddling aroudn with roms on my galaxy s2, it seems like something bugged the display. It looks like it has a lower resolution and there's ugly color banding as if the display went down to 16 bit colour depth... What can I do?
What's a good android phone I can get now in the 100~ price range.

Check out his thread on XDA-Developers.
What's a good android phone I can get now in the 100~ price range.
A one year old or older android phone.
A one year old or older android phone.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Do you know any in specific? There are just so many to look through, I have no Idea which ones are good.
I got the htc Sense 3.0 ROM for my Inspire. What's a good ROM for customizing/personalizing my phone?
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Do you know any in specific? And does the budget have to be that low?
After doing a little more research on it, I see that I'm not gonna get anything good for 100 bucks. And I'm on AT&T so my selection is limited. I'm using an Aria now which is pretty outdated and slow. What I'm lookin at, at being worth the effort is either an HTC Infuse or a Motorola Atrix which both go for about 200~. Kinda pricey, but I don't really wanna be stuck with what I have for another full year (when I upgrade.) But thanks for your help (or willingness to)

If so, how will get high end decent phones. If not, then you'll get crap ones. But i do think your looking or one without one since your on a contract right now.
This is getting on my nerves, most of the ROMs for the SGSII are for the international i9100 version and disable the home and search buttons on my i777. Exynos Extreme would be fucking perfect for me if it wasn't for that one fucking flaw.
I got the htc Sense 3.0 ROM for my Inspire. What's a good ROM for customizing/personalizing my phone?
First of all, I recommend Android Revolution HD as a daily driver. Get 6.1.5 for that ROM. Next, either go with Revolution HD or Honey HD for a theme, as they add many goodies like being able to turn on and off CRT-animations on the fly, themed apps, HTC Sense modifications, quicksettings changes, etc. Then use the radio that came with the latest Inspire 4G update to 2.3.3 with RCDATA for best possible battery life, and flash the RIL that goes with it. Flash lypapota's music mods (either the Beats audio mod or just the SRS effect fix).

Man, fuck it. The only full-featured ROM I can find that's compatible with the i777 is Cyanogenmod and I can't find any themes that don't look like ricer horseshit. Stock ROM with a rooted kernel looks like the best option for me, and frankly the only thing I'm missing is the CRT power-off sleep animation.
CyanogenMod is a quite good ROM, try it.

Once again, I don't even have mobile internet, so think yourselves lucky :suicide:
Since when unlocking a Nexus S everything gets wiped, is it possible to backup everything beforehand? I'd use Nandroid or Titanium Backup, but both don't work on a locked phone.
So what ROMs are the best? I had a quick look on the forums and there's too many god damn choices. What do?
So what ROMs are the best? I had a quick look on the forums and there's too many god damn choices. What do?
Cyanogenmod is probably the best.
Once again, I don't even have mobile internet, so think yourselves lucky :suicide:
Me neither bro. Been living on neighbors wifi... If they kill it, :suicide: since the rest are WPA and I don't have the time.
CyanogenMod is a quite good ROM, try it.
Not worth losing hardware accelerated browser/UI for silky smooth lag-free interface. [editline]6th November 2011[/editline]
This is why the carrier-exclusivity of phones is retarded and never should've been thought of.
Whenever the Captivate devs move over we should start seeing direct ports of ROMs from the i9100 to the i777. Sounds like no one decent is making a stock+ ROM, and I know the HTC Vivid will be loads better for the developer communities...
