Something tells me it will have terrible battery life.
Perhaps if it were as thick as it is wide the battery life would be okay?
I'm not normally one to bitch about technological advancements but at this point why the fuck do we need quad core phones other than "why not"
because MORE CORES
because MORE CORES
I never knew AMD made ARM CPUs :v:
I never knew AMD made ARM CPUs :v:
guess you could say ARM really... bulldozed its way into the market :v:
I like how this Zeta phone has a 2.5 GHz dual core but still has 1GB of RAM :v: You'd think they could stuff 1 more GB if they fit in two more cores
Wildfire S here. Is it easy to root? I have never tried it before.
You can't root it without a XTC clip (i think that's what there is called) - My friend has one and he's unable to download apps/store more than 100 text messages due to the lack of internal memory.
If you can't flash a kernel with root and superuser without having to downgrade or something similar, the answer is yes, sadly.
My tablet is encypted so CWM cannot access the SD card [editline]16th November 2011[/editline]
http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/15/htc-zeta-rendered-rumored-to-pack-2-5ghz-quad-core-cpu-and-ice/ Yeah, My ZTE Blade is starting to feel like a 286 in comparison to these newer phones.
It is a ZTE, what did you expect :v:
MIUI are saying there will be a closed beta of their ICS release in December for the Nexus S.
Well shit, the person that was porting them over to my phone (Infuse) just quit porting MIUI because someone complained about something. The people on xda sure do whine a lot.
People don't understand how much work Devs put into their ROM's.
No they don't, and at the same time the dev's seem particularly sensitive and get their feeling hurt very easily. It's a bad mix. Someone asks about bluetooth not working or asks why a new version hasn't been ported, and the dev flips out and just stops completely.
Im wondering what phone I should chose, everyone says the Galaxy S II is all the rage, but the HTC Sensation XE looks like a worthy competitor.
galaxy s 2
Dunno if you have seen this already but.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347753 :v: Now they have the graphics driver up and running aswell.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLPFI5YsIks [editline]16th November 2011[/editline] What do you think this is?
Google Music release. Possibly Nexus Prime on T-Mobile.

Someone asks about bluetooth not working or asks why a new version hasn't been ported, and the dev flips out and just stops completely.
Because he was probably the 100th guy that day to bitch out about the bluetooth. The thread probably even contained a fix for the bluetooth but that dumb fuck wouldn't have read the thread, he would have only hopped in to bitch about the bluetooth. The Dev's inbox is probably flooded with emails and PMs about how the bluetooth isn't working. 99% of the ROM's userbase probably only ever stops over to complain. Everyone should probably drop a quick thank you in their ROM dev thread. It'll make the Dev team's day and it will help encourage people to flash custom ROMs (I remember when I went to flash my first ROM, was put off for ages because the thread was full of people bitching out. Took me a while to realise that that's because anyone who doesn't have a problem has taken the software and fucked off without a word of thanks).
Hey guys, the Android thing is starting soon at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLPFI5YsIks&newstate=683963b4db8c5897ff1a834497d1fd0b right now they're streaming a nice live wallpaper. [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] Anyone wants to start a G+ hangout or something? [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] Okay, let's see if this works: -snip, too laggy- [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] Actually fuck that, it's lagging like shit for me.. [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] Google Music launches today (US only) It is free.
US only Okay.jpg
There's a shitton of free songs, also there every day there will be a new free song. [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] Google+ is the new Ping and MySpace apparently. Let's just hope it will have a better fate! [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] Universal, EMI, Sony Music are in the store. Also the lady talking is way too nervous. [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] I don't think Russia has any online music stores at all.
Just use a US VPN to sign up, after that you don't need it.
Exclusive content from the Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Busta Rhymes, Pearl Jam, Shakira, and some other dude I forgot. [editline]17th November 2011[/editline]
Just use a US VPN to sign up, after that you don't need it.
Really? FUCK YEAH. [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] T-Mobile gets some exclusive shit. T-Mobile guy kept plugging "ALL ON AMERICA'S LARGEST FOUR GEE NETWORK"
I quite want to get the rolling stones stuff for my granddad. He'd really like it he's a huge fan.
Oh, Looks like you need a US proxy to purchase music, but not to listen to it. £1.50 VPS, Activate!
just went into the android market with this us vpn i found. so much more stuff than the russian one...
Anyone else who has had google music since late june? [editline]17.11.2011[/editline] Wow. The guys working on the ICS port for SGSII truly are amazing. They already have working touchscreen, ui etc. Almost all sensors are working already.
Oh, Looks like you need a US proxy to purchase music, but not to listen to it. £1.50 VPS, Activate!
Well, I'm on a 3 hour free trial vpn right now, I started uploading all my music and etc. I can't get those free songs though, says I need an US credit card. Oh well. So what you're saying is that even when I am not using a vpn/proxy/whatever, I will still be able to use Google Music, upload my songs and etc, just without the store part?
My dad is buying my sister her first good phone, we want it to be decent (Better than my Optimus T, or at least similar) and our budget is $200-ish. We're on T-mobile, no-contract is a must but used is not out of the question. Looking at Samsung Exhibit II 4G right now, any suggestions welcome.
Well despite him coming to me first before buying one, he completely ignores all my suggestions and buys the HTC wildfire. No, not the Wildfire S, but the one with the 528mhz cpu, 384mb RAM, horrible camera (still and video), android 2.1. And he spent more than he could have if he would have bought a Used Galaxy S1 or a brand new Optimus T. [/notamused]
