Does anyone else have issues with typing really slow on facepunch with android devices
My SGT 10.1 is at a crawl when typing only here.
Oh and what are some cool honeycomb customizations?
Yeah same with me and my Xoom.
For customizations, try Beautiful Widgets. Also, SwiftKey released a honeycomb version of their keyboard app today and it's pretty good apparently. Worth a shot.
Running Vellamo, will post score in a sec.

Vellamo results: 965 on Nexus S.
Shows it as being higher than the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
God, I love Netarchy.
EDIT: Fuck it, I'm running it again at 1.4GHz. This should be good.
EDIT 2: Never mind. 1.3GHz is as far as it goes it seems. It freezes on the third test at 1.4GHz. Just not that stable I guess.
EDIT 3: Fuck it, I'm gonna run it on my 1.7GHz Xoom. Brace for impact.
Final EDIT: 1170. Dear God. Suck it, Galaxy.
Can't wait until HTC and Sony owners and start showing how their devices are faster than the SGS II.
[editline]15th July 2011[/editline]
Actually I retract that.

That's very accurate. I applaud Qualcomm for not messing with the scores of their own SoCs.

I got 623 on my STOCK 2.3.4 Galaxy S. Anyone care to post their scores using the stock benchmark?
651, Fascinate on OMFGB.
Going to get an android phone once my Contract is due to be renewed (Because fuck Apple and charging me to talk to them about their own shitty, malfunctioning device.). Was thinking about the Atrix. Any other, better phones out there?

The netbook thing is nice, too.

946 on my stock 2.3.3 SGSII
Atrix, Nexus S, or the.. whatever the something Z is that has a slide/flip open qwerty keyboard?
The Atrix if you want the better hardware, the Z if you want the physical keyboard and the Nexus S if you want the best overall experience.

Galaxy SGSII
HTC Sensation
After re calibrating my phone battery I can finally go 2 days without having to recharge my phone.
LauncherPro, best launcher.
I don't know, I really like Launcher 7.

More Minecraft Pocket Edition news. Xperia play exclusive for a while :(

But it is so hideously ugly. Is it just me or is the WP7 interface incredibly unappealing?
Ran that Qualcomm benchmark thing.
Not a huge surprise.
But it is so hideously ugly. Is it just me or is the WP7 interface incredibly unappealing?
I dunno, I really love the Metro UI.
Is there something i could do to improve battery life on my SGS as it seems to last only 9h with 2hours of music listening and few times checked what's the time.

The last in the list under the shown orietationd is Maps with 2% of usage.
It's running 2.3(Gingerbread) Android atm and it seemed to have much longer battery life with 2.2(Froyo)

A 1.7GHz Xoom beats a 1GHz Galaxy Tab, holy shit stop the presses!
What do you guys think the best phone would be at a £300 pricepoint? It has to be PAYG/Sim-free, Android 2.2 or later.
Galaxy S. You should specify things you want in a phone like a keyboard or w/e
Optimus 2X is supposedly nice.
Galaxy S. You should specify things you want in a phone like a keyboard or w/e
Needs to have:
- 3.5mm Jack
- Froyo or above
- Unlocked bootloader
- Mini or Micro USB
- 1Ghz Processor or greater
Preferred:
- MicroSD Card slot (8gb Class 6 :v:)
That's pretty much it, not too fussed about keyboards ect.

Galaxy S or if you're more worried about the build materials you could see how much the HTC Desire S costs. I'd help more but I don't know the prices for Cell phones over in the UK, sorry.
I base my browser choice on every device by it's ability to render Facepunch quickly.
Try Dolphin HD.

Yeah, it's ugly as fuck.
I don't think it's super ugly, but it's just so oversimplified that I can't stand it. I love my widgets and I'd never give them up.

Guess what just randomly started working on my phone

It's fucking great too.
It takes a bit longer to start playing than Subsonic, but the official integration makes up for it.
I can actually control music playback from my lockscreen now, woo.
Anyone know if there's any sort of App like GSMArena where you view phone models and specs?
Also, anyone know of any dock/widget that allows you to view messages in widgetlocker? Or a icon with the missed messages notification?
I can't stand clocks like that, it just looks so.. bad..

Longer than subsonic? Were you using your PC as the host?

It doesn't look bad but it doesn't look that much like WP7 either. It's just your icons blown way up, not a neat set of tiles that display related content.
