Subsidized or by going through deals you can get cheaper or close to it (and the SGSI isn't the only choice, either). Honestly for longevity I'd tell anyone to wait a bit and buy something that has a better lifespan to it. In the short term it's a good deal, but in the long term it isn't.

Most inexpensive carriers don't. I had the choice between a free SGS2 and 30€/month or a 600€ SGS2 and 5€/month. Obviously the 30€/month contract includes more minutes, texts and data, but I don't need that much.

I'm guessing there will be a stable-ish beta with everything working within 2 to 3 weeks.
