It was because someone sent them an email about how looking through logs is boring and wanted something to cheer them up :v:
Most companies would just trash that or respond with a shitty auto email. Gotta love Google.
Google is awesome.
The Optimus guy wanted too much money from me :( Ah well, back to searching it is...
Lol, just downloaded Alpha 6.5 ICS.. then the very same seconds it's finished, Alpha 7 is out in IRC... <.<

Yeah, but still.. STOP MAKING SMALL CHANGES AND UPDATING EVERY SINGLE SECOND!!! :v: They've advanced like 3 versions today alone.
When this ROM hits 88 updates per hour, you're going to see some serious shit.
I can't wait until either 3G or Wifi are working. I really want to try out ICS, but without internet it's kind of hard to do anything at all.
Yeah, but still.. STOP MAKING SMALL CHANGES AND UPDATING EVERY SINGLE SECOND!!! :v: They've advanced like 3 versions today alone.
Don't bitch about progress. They aren't making you update your phone.
Not bitching about progress, but wouldn't it be more productive to make larger updates rather than smaller ones?
Not bitching about progress, but wouldn't it be more productive to make larger updates rather than smaller ones?
Just import a slave from a third world country to keep updating your phone. Everyone does it nowadays.
Not bitching about progress, but wouldn't it be more productive to make larger updates rather than smaller ones?
No, it wouldn't. This is why they're called alpha releases. They test each feature one by one, by flashing it to their own devices. Making these zip's public allows for more testing to happen. It's not a release yet, so they will release the way they see fit, to allow for the most publicity and help from the community.
HOLY SHIT IT'S CHRISTMAS Sprinkle and Shadowgun released for non-Tegra devices. brb, abandoning real life. [editline]18th November 2011[/editline] I need more Android devices. FUCK, can't decide what to play. [editline]18th November 2011[/editline] and a car battery.
Apparently Apple just patented using NFC for "workflow sharing", aka handshaking using NFC (that's a bit redundant): http://www.electronista.com/articles/11/11/16/apple.patent.sets.groundwork.for.iphone.nfc.shares/
-snip- He can't read. [editline]18th November 2011[/editline]
Orange has officially announced the San Francisco II having inadvertently revealed it last week on its online support pages. The handset, which is also dubbed the ZTE Crescent, is a direct sequel to the hot-selling original San Francisco and is powered by Android Gingerbread (2.3.5) out of the box. Home to a 3.5-inch display just like its older brother, the San Francisco II is equipped with a faster ARM11 800MHz processor, a five-megapixel camera with autofocus and Orange’s HD Voice smarts for crisper sounds from calls. It also comes in a slicker, curvier new design that we reckon puts even some high-end kits to shame. Its real USP, though, is its keen price point of just £99 on Pay as you go, or £10.50 a month on contract for those looking to snap it up for free. "The Orange San Francisco II is a fitting successor to the award-winning first model, and offers the latest developments in data, voice and design," said Paul Jevons, director of products and devices at Orange UK. "We are delighted to be following up on the success of the award winning original and with such a full-featured product we expect it to be really popular with consumers in the run up to Christmas." The Orange San Francisco II will be available later this month.
[editline]18th November 2011[/editline] Moar news.
Google caused a fairly big stink nearly a year ago when it changed the window to uninstall and refund a purchased application to just 15 minutes -- a far cry shorter than 24-hour window we'd previously enjoyed. But according to a new version of the developer distribution agreement being pushed out today, that window has been expanded, and expanded to a full two days. Here's the line from Section 3.4: Products that cannot be previewed by the buyer (such as applications): You authorize Google to give the buyer a full refund of the Product price if the buyer requests the refund within 48 hours after purchase. Good on Google for changing this one. While we don't want anyone abusing the refunds process, 15 minutes was absolutely too short a time to try out an application. By the way, if you're a developer, make sure you log in to your developer portal to accept the new agreement. Wouldn't want your app yanked unnecessarily.
48 hour refund window sure is nice, but it might be a little too much for certain games. You could pretty much finish it and get your money back.

My two year contract is over for my shitty droid, what phone should I get? I want it rooted and powerfu?
My two year contract is over for my shitty droid, what phone should I get? I want it rooted and powerfu?
Wait for the Galaxy Nexus or go for the HTC Rezound (kinda meh design) or Droid Razr (fucking awesome phone, root is out for it)
I wish they'd begin selling the Galaxy Nexus in Norway already. Seems like we aren't getting it until late December.
My two year contract is over for my shitty droid, what phone should I get? I want it rooted and powerfu?
You root a phone yourself. As for the choices, if you don't have a budget limit, you could try going for either the Nexus Prime (Galaxy Nexus but I'm refusing to call it that), the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy S2. Tomorrow I'll probably take a walk around town and see if any carriers have any display models of the Nexus Prime, I want to see what it's up to :v:
Tomorrow I'll probably take a walk around town and see if any carriers have any display models of the Nexus Prime, I want to see what it's up to :v:
Our carriers have so few display models. And it's usually mid range phones or iPhones.. :( Luckily there's one cool shop where they let you try any phone without even bitching if you don't buy it. Pretty much the only one in the whole city. Ugh. Back to Sprinkle!
I've seen massive sections for it in Phones4U and O2, without the phone where it's meant to be :v:
Aww :( I've seen the Nexus Prime on O2's site though
Almost got a trade for a Nexus S (not the amoled one sadly) set up, just waiting for my dad's approval. And that thing's got a fully working ICS rom too!
Is it possible to install CM7 without flashing a new kernel? I really like Semaphore with its Voodoo Sound, BLN, so would be great if I could stay with it.
No, it's not. You need a CM7 kernel. Though, there exists kernels for CM7 which includes BLN, Voodoo etc.
I wish they'd begin selling the Galaxy Nexus in Norway already. Seems like we aren't getting it until late December.
I haven't heard anything about it being released other than sometime in December. Where did you hear that?
I haven't heard anything about it being released other than sometime in December. Where did you hear that?
rest of the world, maybe? :v:
oh my fucking gooooood. CM7 is the dumbest shit to install. I installed it once, hold up+home+power to go into recovery again. Doesn't work. So i installed it once, and it's not in a stupid boot loop where the logo in front of the black background keeps flashing on /off. Help ;(
