I've got a problem with my Ideos X5 U8800, it been on the "Replacing Stock Recovery with Clockwork Recovery" stage for 3 hours almost. I flashed it with Rom Manager right from the market. What can I do to fix this.
I haven't heard anything about it being released other than sometime in December. Where did you hear that?
Komplett says unconfirmed around 7th of December, thus making it more likely for a late December release.
oh my fucking gooooood. CM7 is the dumbest shit to install. I installed it once, hold up+home+power to go into recovery again. Doesn't work. So i installed it once, and it's not in a stupid boot loop where the logo in front of the black background keeps flashing on /off. Help ;(
Pull the battery, go into recovery, do a data wipe/factory reset, flash CM7. Or whatever it is the process is you have to do before installing CM7.

CM7 is extremely easy to install, the loop is your fault
Wipe data+cache and then reinstall
Flashed ICS on my Epic 4G Touch...friggin awesome. Too bad most of it doesn't work yet.
I must be paranoid. I think I'm the only person who actually wipes system aswell when flashing a new rom.

ROM manager sucks, why would you use it instead of CWM?
And no, if you get a boot loop without the possibility of getting to CWM you can only use Odin
If you cannot access recovery and only get a boot loop when booting up the rom, then no.

ninja'd
ok well i got the recovery thing fixed using the method i used before.
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1266390 then i flash speedmod)
i'm going to try with clockworkmod and if i get any errors; will post.
edit: Ok wait, in CWM, do i press flash kernel or flash update? D:
Question: I'm trying to add a prepaid mastercard credit card onto google checkout, which is now google wallet and the card gets declined. Based on the support pages, it says that it will work with it. Since it said it would work with credit, debit and gift cards. Has anyone used prepaid cards and has it worked for them, or is not not suppose to work? Or should I bug both google and Mastercard about the problem?
Checked the troubleshooting page too, the card number, cvc, expire date is correct, since it said declined, I'll go bug mastercard tomorrow, but they don't have email support... Only toll free phone..., or snail mail, lol why is mastercard that behind?

Never ever use ROM Manager. EVER!
i'm using clockwork mod recovery to install miui on my u8800, i can apply the update but when i go to reboot it goes right back into recovery.
edit: FUCK CM7. USING WAJKIUI NOW.
I must be paranoid. I think I'm the only person who actually wipes system aswell when flashing a new rom.
Well that happens when you flash the rom itself pretty much.
Well that happens when you flash the rom itself pretty much.
Not always though, some alpha roms need you to delete system. If you don't, they pretty much lay their shit ontop of the other rom.

Please don't ruin your amazing Evo 4G.
Here's the scph1001.bin file for FPse, if anyone needs it.
Why does everyone hate rom manager? It's been keeping up with the SGS Cyanogen nighties since build 40 something with no problems.
I don't like the MIUI-team anymore.
Could anyone give me a good guide on how to root a HTC Hero?

You need to visit the website on the card (Or find it somewhere), enter your card number and the security code, then input all of your information (Address, name, phone number, ect) into the site. At least, that's what a friend had to do in order to use prepaid visa cards with Steam.

That looks amazing, thanks!
You root a phone yourself. As for the choices, if you don't have a budget limit, you could try going for either the Nexus Prime (Galaxy Nexus but I'm refusing to call it that), the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy S2.
Tomorrow I'll probably take a walk around town and see if any carriers have any display models of the Nexus Prime, I want to see what it's up to :v:
Ok so I did find one display model, at a 3 Store.
UI was smooth as fuck, phone is sexy. It's not that large, since it's curved and shit :v:
ICS is gonna be awesome, I can barely wait until we get a stable release for the GS2
