Longer than subsonic? Were you using your PC as the host?
I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 running Subsonic.
I connect to it through 3.5G on my phone.
Either I was unlucky with my connection when I tested it, or it has something to do with Google's servers being in the States, and my Subsonic server has a much smaller return-loop.
Okay, so I just rooted my LG Optimus 2X. Then i downloaded Rom Manager app and installed that ClockworkMod. Then i downloaded CyanogenMod from within the app and choosed the Google Apps "addon". After that it asked me if i wanted to backup and clear cache, i said yes to both. It rebooted and a kind of system screen started and said things like "backup system" etc. Then when it was done it rebooted again and I got to the LG welcome screen... I got a little bit suspicious and when I had completed the welcome settings I came to an empty stock rom from LG...
What happened to CyanogenMod? I tried to use the backup to get my old rom back, but all my apps were gone. So I tried to download it from the Android Market, but as soon as i start market, it closes down instantly.
What to do?

Free shipping. If you want it unlocked for Rogers or Telus this is probably the best way.
How long does it take for you guys to get a fix on your location via GPS inside your homes?
Just wondering, it sometimes takes bloody ages to get my location, even on a clear-sky, outside.
Thinking it's a driver problem.

What phone? Cyanogenmod?
Blade, nightly 12..6? I think.
It's been ridden with GPS problems. Soft reboots, not locking on etc.
Looks like the updated kernel from ZTE fixed the soft reboots though.

I flashed that the other day, my phones rebooted randomly 5 times.
I got to visit Google yesterday with the Summer Camp I am currently attending. It was really great. The food was amazing! I got to take pictures with/of the Android statues.

Did they have real edible gingerbread and froyo there?
Did they have real edible gingerbread and froyo there?
There was frozen yogurt. I didn't see any Gingerbread men, eclairs, or bees. I think there might have been donuts somewhere.
There are lots of different restaurants located around the campus. I think they are all free for any employee. The one I was at is where they filmed the Lady GaGa interview. There are also micro-kitchens in every building.
The pizza was amazing. Freshly made if they run out of a batch.

Damn I'd love to work there.
They also had a company-only store. I got a couple shirts, a chrome mousepad, and some Android stickers. I think there is also an online store where you can purchase some of the merchandise.

Yeah the working conditions probably are the best on the planet. I'm definitely going to apply to Intern there once I am in a higher grade. I dont know if they take High Schoolers for an Internship, but my tour guide was a college student and she said it was amazing.
I've got a friend whose interning there and might put in a good word for me, Google would be an awesome place to work.

Anyone want to buy a Dropad A8 from me?
It's brand new but I couldn't sell it because It came with euro adapter instead of UK, It includes a plastic leather (fake leather) case and I could still use it with the seals attached so I upgraded it to Android 2.3

I can sell it using Google Checkout and it's £155, First class Royal Mail.
Awhile back there was some 6GB data plan/special code available for Bell, but now it doesn't work. Anyone know of other codes to try?

Nope. People who want good plans check howardforums regularly, that's why HoFo members all have it.
Anyone know if there's any sort of App like GSMArena where you view phone models and specs?
Also, anyone know of any dock/widget that allows you to view messages in widgetlocker? Or a icon with the missed messages notification?
