Will do, when I get my new Micro SD card though.
is it worth it
Right now (still $1.99) or before the sale (it was $3.99)?
Anyways...
After using it for a while, I really like the predictions and the statistics. Only if it showed graphs. I'd like to see more themes and better multi touch, I type fast and it sometimes lags behind or deletes entire words...
I've been testing several keyboards to see which ones the best, so far, after used 7 different keyboards, swiftkey X is the best.
I don't know about you, but I still prefer Swype :v:
I did try SwiftKey but I didn't really get used to it since I'm not a fast typer
i bought swiftkey x

I tried Swype and keyboards alike. I was never a fan of the moving your finger cross the keyboard thing. I used Swype for a week, trying to use the Internet and type up notes. I ended up raging and using the tapping part of the keyboard. My thumbs or fingers would get tired of swiping after 5 minutes...
I think what you are describing in this swype thing comes standard on my phone? Is it where you drag your finger across the keypad to link up the word?
Yep
why did I get a captivate
Two things..
1. Any other site other than XDA to get ROM's for the Epic 4G Touch?
2. What ROM would you suggest for the Epic 4G Touch?
I come around the android forums once in a while,
just wondering,
should I put ICS on my captivate? I literally haven't even bothered with roms or "flashing" or any shit like that, I look around xda a little bit but don't understand much.
j/w if I should put it on my phone, currently using froyo
If you have an android, investing time learning about roms and getting a custom one is worth all the trouble
yeah i've looked it up since I got the phone, just never got around to it. I've only browsed around XDA but haven't fully seen a tutorial on how to get a custom rom on my phone, but now I'm interested again
JT just updated his build on the Fascinate to V3.
Full hardware acceleration now
I'm waiting for the ICS for Captivate to come out of Alpha. Still a bit nervous about it.
I've been browsing a lot and wanted to know if this was the best method for the i777.

Best method: Flash a root kernel with CWM via Odin, then flash Entropy's Daily Driver kernel for a non-weird CWM ASAP.
Thats where I went wrong, I was so excited that I rooted my phone I didnt watch a proper tutorial, so I flashed Google Apps later on like a fool.
One of the optimized Sense ROMs should be an excellent daily driver, if you want CM7 speed but want a less spare UI/launcher, try MIUI.
i bought swiftkey x
$1.99 is the cheapest I've seen it at, besides being free on amazon app store.
I would wait until Christmas when it might go down to 0.99, because I'm cheap :v: And it would be my Christmas present to the devs.

Don't put ICS on it yet, still not stable as a daily driver.

This is the best explanation for flashing roms. Basically, better ROMs will give you better data speeds, battery life, and a faster phone. Also different UIs are available and you'll always have root. My recommendation is to follow that guide letter for letter, and know that any time you flash bootloaders you will risk a hard brick that requires sending it to someone who can perform a JTAG on it to get it to boot again.
getting a rezound tomorrow, woot
Oh yeah, QuickOffice Pro is like 4.99,down from 14.99 so basically save ten dollars for a high quality office productivity apps that create and edit word, excel, powerpoint followed by reading pdfs. You also get the best cloud storage solutions.
Currently, I'm testing out quickoffice pro and officesuite 5.5 and documents to go to conclude which one is better. Probably will be posting it as a youtube video with several more in depth videos on specific core parts such as the core functions like editing, down to the customer support.
getting a rezound tomorrow, woot
razr is better imo

Probably, but I honestly would've been okay with giving up thinness for removable battery.
Probably, but I honestly would've been okay with giving up thinness for removable battery.
The battery in the Razr is quite larger though, I don't have a problem with battery life and if you need to do a hard reset you just hold sleep/wake and volume up

My dad has the Rezound and I have the Razr and I love mine so much more

True, but on the other hand it's really nice to be able to have the possible upgrade path for an extended battery or have replacement OEM batteries charged for when you need to swap it out.
It would also mean the microSD could be inside the phone instead of a little flap to keep out junk.

Either way neither have an unlocked bootloader :v:
[editline]28th November 2011[/editline]
I think it's bullshit, by the way, that HTC claims that they won't be locking bootloaders anymore, but they haven't actually done it.
I don't know if I'll be getting an HTC the next time I have an upgrade.
Acer Transformer 2 later, or Acer Slide now?
Acer Transformer 2 later, or Acer Slide now?
Literally just going to ask this.
Cyber Monday sale ends in like 20 minutes for me, going to buy them apps in Christmas. Going out for the last hour or so buying stuff.
When I'm charging from my laptop usb port it seems to go alot slower, is there a way to draw more power out of it?
When I'm charging from my laptop usb port it seems to go alot slower, is there a way to draw more power out of it?
No. Plug it into an outlet and it'll charge faster.
Of course, once you get to about the last 15% both USB and AC charge equally slowly.
