SpeedMod is fucking magical I tell you. after 4 hours on mobile internet in pretty much idle state (didn't touch the phone much), the battery went down by only 1% :science:
Did you Overclock/undervolt it? Or tweaked anything that wasn't default, or was using an unstable version of CM7?
I didn't tweak anything and I used the latest stable version from the time.
Do specific ROMs need specific kernels? I have Stock Extra for SGS with Semaphore 1.8.2. Can I install any other kernel that support JVT?

Useless, gets scale wrong on my screen and I have used the settings.
It doesn't let you set your res along with screen size, so it fucks up if your px density is non standard, like my 1440*900

Works almost perfectly for me, difference between real life S2 and virtual one is about 2 milimeters.
Another website for me to waste time on!
I just want to say that you guys are the nicest people and the most helpful thread I've ever been to on FP.
Thank is because android users are nice. Unlike some other people

This thread is very helpful to people with questions unlike XDA

Is there a way I can find out where the current wallpaper is being "viewed" from? It's from a theme and I can't find a way to select it or find where it is so I can use it with WidgetLocker

Would a ZTE Blade play .mkv video? (not the blade 2)
err, i guess, with a media player and a low quality .mkv
err, i guess, with a media player and a low quality .mkv
Is 480p low enough?
no idea really... are you thinking of buying a zte blade?
yes
i would not really recommend in doing so
it really is your last bet if you need an android phone, so if i were you i would get something else
you could probably get something a lot better if you just save up for some money
I'm getting a SK17 next month and I want to know: Is there any risk to bricking your phone when rooting or is it just possible when flashing a new ROM/kernel? Also, for apps like SetCPU do I need to flash a new ROM or just rooting the device will do it?
Plus, If I brick my phone in the worst case scenario, does that mean it's done for life? I'm pretty used to Wii modding, and there bricking means "good job fucking up, now go buy another one" because (depending on the type of brick) it wont be able to do anything anymore. Is it the same with Android devices?
$150 later and Bell is sending me a new SGS2!! :D Just sucks I couldn't recover any of my pictures or 1000s of texts.. :(
