It's actually pretty much the CPU that's worse than the one in the SGS2
Does anybody actually have a benchmark of OMAP4460 vs Exynos though? Because whilst I'm sure the Exynos is faster than the OMAP4430 is most devices, the Galaxy Nexus has a better version (though they've underclocked it, probably to help with battery life), plus given the fact that ICS is optimised for the OMAP, that may offer a smoother real-world experience than what raw performance numbers may lead you to believe
it's seriously impossible to convince an apple fanboy that their products are not as good as advertised.
I'm not posting to argue this point, or to rant how iOS is greater than Android. I had a Blade for a good 6 months, Now although it isn't the greatest device on the market, far from it, I loved it. Was my first smart phone, the only worry I had with moving to it was the touch screen keyboard, I never thought it'd work.. but with sywpe installed, it was fantastic.! Now after a rant with garry, and him sending me his old iPhone 3GS, he set the challenge of converting me to iOS.. now you probably all know that it worked.. I don't see how apple and android fans bite at each others throats so much, both OS's are great for each and every user in their own respective mind. I loved the customisability of Android, but in all honesty, it was easily sacrificed for iOS's easy universal layout for all of its Apps, both stock and downloaded. I loved the userbase of developers and designers for Android, although having lowres/highres, small and large icons together didn't please my eyes as aesthetically as on iOS, where all Apps are in a uniform box shape. (not customisability, simply uniform) I learned to sacrifice many things from my Android when switching to the iPhone, but don't get me wrong, I don't hate Android. I still boot it up occasionally, and check for updates, change roms, fiddle about with the settings.. But as a day to day phone, I have to stick with my iPhone, because it performs all the tasks I need in day to day work with such little ease, without asking too much of me. you could say it's for simple people, or perhaps for people who don't want 20inch spinning rims, a custom paint job, subwoofer in the back and NOS in the engine.. Perhaps they want a pickup, or a simple 3 door hatchback which takes them from A to B and nothing more. Enjoy rating me dumb and optimistic, Like I know you probably will.. :pwn:
I picked the S2 for performance, camera (quality) and finally the much lower price tag. The only thing I think I'll miss is NFC, quick shutter and the HD display.
you made a great choice man, the s2 is great
I don't see why anyone should rate you dumb. You've put together good, valid, and reasonable opinions on the table. I see nothing wrong with that.
I don't see why anyone should rate you dumb. You've put together good, valid, and reasonable opinions on the table. I see nothing wrong with that.
regardless of the option to argue and discuss, some fanboys will always be fanboys.
For fucks sakes, people on the android market are as dumb as people on youtube. They bitch about the the new NVIDIA glowball demo not working when it clearly states it only works on Tegra 3 devices
We already have Tegra 3 devices? I was thinking that Prime is not yet released
I originally wanted an iPhone because I became a bit if a fanboy without even using such a device in-depth. Also, my friend was an apple fanboy before me. He used to brag about it so much, like way more than I did with my android phone for the last few weeks :v: so I basically begged for an iPhone because I thought that it was sooooooo good, but I found out that I can't get it, so I went for Android, because I remember seeing those HTC advertising on tv since last year. Also, I would be taking more computer science where I will code java and I figured that I will use my phone to make apps. But that was two years from now so by then I would have a better phone. Like the best just to show off, a little bit more. Anyways, i went for Android and I felt disappointed because I didn't get an iPhone, or a high end android phone and such. So when I started to use it and set it up, I found out that everything is in different places compared to iOS and there was a slight learning curve, which wasn't really bad for me. I started to download apps and games and such, reading guides, etc. After thinking my phone sucks, i remember how everyone else has crappier phones than I did. Hell, only like a few had high end phones when everyone else had flip phones and blackberries. I ended up becoming the spotlight in terms of phone awesomeness. So basically I found out that my phone is not Crap, compared to everyone else in my classes. Everyone became jelly about my phone, and that was before I started to even brag, in which it actually started on this thread. So I was being a nice guy and letting people play games on it. I mean, I kinda promised myself that when I get an iPod touch or a phone, i would let people play games on it.

Enjoy rating me dumb and optimistic, Like I know you probably will.. :pwn:
Valid points, but I think part of my problem is this: I'm so used to Android's workflow that iOS is incredibly hard to work with. When I don't see anything that will let me change something at a glance, my first instinct is to reach for a nonexistent menu button. iOS hides so many things in places I don't expect it to be that getting anything done takes a lot longer than it would on Android. Once you start getting used to Android's quirks, transitioning to iOS is like transitioning from Windows to Mac.
Once you start getting used to Android's quirks, transitioning to iOS is like transitioning from Windows to Mac.
I generally had to use Macs in order to do my photoshopping for Comp Art. I dont have a laptop and every other Windows XP computer was not avaliable. I mean, it was the crappy iMacs with 1gb ram, 2.2ghz dual core. I mean, it's not that bad, just the school got it with 1gb ram, like wow. photoshop lags on it anyways. And I was powerusing windows since like ever, all day every day. The transition wasnt too bad, what pissed me off the most was the mouse sens because i couldnt change it, it was visibly there but not the actual button. So instead i changed the dpi on my mouse. It took me probably a week before using the Macs more efficiently and bringing my own mouse really helped, like a lot. Anyways, two weeks later, or less I knew most of the short cuts. Realistially, it's really not that hard. I mean, everyone should be able to adapt to whatever device, etc. Sure it will be a pain at the start but it will only get better.
Got myself a zte blade
send me your new galaxy note to celebrate this

Seriously, how the fuck am I supposed to know that swiping right in the task killer bar will display the playback settings and rotation lock?
www.eewai.com/facepunch That's sort of a mobile facepunch.
So what's the best deal on Android tablets right now? I'd kind of like to pick up a secondhand one to play around with. Is a used Touchpad with CM7 still the cheapest option?

I found out a local Office Depot still has an HP Touchpad... but they want full price for it. What do you think I can do? I don't think the fire sale officially "ended" since it was to get the items off shelves.
regardless of the option to argue and discuss, some fanboys will always be fanboys.
There'll always be raging fanboys on both sides. That's inevitable.
Any rom recommendations? I'm using Wajkiui and running SiyahKernal v.2.3 at the moment. I'm fine with this setup at the moment but I just want to consider the options. [Don't recommend CM7, it's a good rom, but I can't for the life of me make it work nor want to invest more time into it.]
It's actually pretty much the CPU that's worse than the one in the SGS2
Late reply from me but hey. CPUs are sort of equal and everything else performance wise is better in the sgs2. Also dav0r has hit the nail on the head pretty well there. My input is iOS is good out the box whilst Android is pretty much as good as the user and not so good out the box. Although this has changed with Android 4.0, time will tell. Ezhik, your new avatar is supercute. I mean the original was already awesome but a santa hat just made it one level better.
Got myself a zte blade
Now explain to me why you didn't buy this instead: :v:
Aw, shame. Transformer Prime is not getting 3G. If it did I might have picked up a tablet for the first time :v: [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline]
Galnet MIUI ICS framework builds
I don't understand what's better or different, their features explanation is so brief. Anything you noticed that was amazing with Galnet?
I am now the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy S 2

Posting from an epic phone!
You can get it for cheaper on Craigslist or eBay most likely.
Right but it shouldn't be full price anymore, should it?

http://www.carrieriq.com/company/PR.EckhartStatement.pdf Terrible way to save the situation :v: I like the "does not" list, even though the XDA dude who found out had proof that it does record everything.
