M4As play fine on Android's music player (and most 3rd party ones too). All the tags and artwork work properly.
will android know where all my music is on my computer and allow automatic adding/deleting or will i have to manually throw it on my phone
what's that widget in the top right ? looks great.
Elixir
The internet feels pretty damn fast. 4.8mbps down and about 1.5 up
Wow, that's pathetic. The Sensation here gets around 9-10mbps down. Maybe US carriers should invest less in false 4G advertising and more in making fast and reliable networks.
Wow, that's pathetic. The Sensation here gets around 9-10mbps down. Maybe US carriers should invest less in false 4G advertising and more in making fast and reliable networks.
The average in my city in the UK (Milton Keynes, officially the worst city for 3G) is around 1Mbps. :{
Here's the sad thing. His Sensation isn't on EvDo. It's on 14.4Mbps HSPA.
Dude, that's faster internet then most people have access to as WIRED connections in our state. USA, why you so slow to adopting good internet?
The average in my city in the UK (Milton Keynes, officially the worst city for 3G) is around 1Mbps. :{
I don't understand this. Are US carriers not laying down enough fiber? Are they using microwave opposed to fiber in the first place for backhaul?
The average in my city in the UK (Milton Keynes, officially the worst city for 3G) is around 1Mbps. :{
Only 1 Mbps. I would kill for regular 1 Mbps internet on my phone.
Dude, that's faster internet then most people have access to as WIRED connections in our state. USA, why you so slow to adopting good internet?
Well to be fair that's the theoretical maximum. But the average for an 7.2Mb theoretical max device on Bell is 6-7Mbps, 14.4 max is 8-9Mbps, and the SGS II gets 14-16Mbps. [editline]19th July 2011[/editline]
Only 1 Mbps. I would kill for regular 1 Mbps internet on my phone.
You guys don't even get 1megabit? Perhaps you should change carriers.
I don't understand this. Are US carriers not laying down enough fiber? Are they using microwave opposed to fiber in the first place for backhaul?
In the countryside yes. And sometimes even in cities. Its what really holds back 3G where I live. Its noticeable when one side of our city has triple the mobile bandwidth, and that side is the one where most of the commercial businesses are with fiber.
I'm getting an Iconia Tab this week. Anyone have suggestions on some good Honeycomb only/optimized games or apps to load on it? EDIT: Whats so bad about the Iconia Tab? It fits my needs. And spec wise is almost like a Tab 10.1 or Xoom..... And it seems to be the only tablet with ROM ports of other tablets. So If I don't like the Acer bloat, I can load the Virtuous Xoom ROM for a 99.9% stock Honeycomb experience.

http://www.slashgear.com/samsung-approves-apple-smart-cover-copy-cats-18165887/ I think they're just trolling now. I can just see the people at Samsung doing this just to piss off apple during their lawsuit.
will android know where all my music is on my computer and allow automatic adding/deleting or will i have to manually throw it on my phone
So im guessing it's 100% manual
So im guessing it's 100% manual
Indeed. Unless you get into the Google Music Beta, then it's synced automagically. But it's streamed, unless you add it manually.
I installed Juice Defender last night for my blade. It's doing a pretty damn good job, auto disabling data etc when I sleep and what not. Getting a good charge now.
I've never understood Juice Defender because I only ever have data/WiFi/Bluetooth on when I need to use it, then I turn it back off.
Wow, that's pathetic. The Sensation here gets around 9-10mbps down.
Indeed. Unless you get into the Google Music Beta, then it's synced automagically. But it's streamed, unless you add it manually.
ok then, i have google music anyway so i am set

Jesus Diaz — Not happy for ripping off Apple's iPad design, Samsung is now selling this blatant copy of Apple's Smart Cover. It's manufactured by Anymode, a Korean company with a "strong affiliation with Samsung Electronics" as a "key accessories supplier". Called Smart Case—really—the Smart Cover clone comes in the same pastel colors as Apple's own and is being sold in Samsung's shops all over Korea. I wonder if they would have the Steel Balls to sell these outside their home country. If you've been dying for a blueprint-esque look at HTC's upcoming 10-inch "Puccini" (that's a code name) Android tablet, look no further than the FCC, which has taking the HTC Puccini for a spin. Most of us can't tell too much from this line drawing (at least it doesn't appear to have dual 3D cameras), but the FCC's testing does out 850MHz and 1900MHz radios, which seems to imply that we could possibly see this guy on AT&T at some point. And it's also got an LTE radio to boot, which lends credence to the idea that this could roll out along with AT&T's true 4G network (enhanced backhaul be damned!) later this year. On the other hand, releasing an LTE tablet that's only LTE in five cities -- remember that AT&T plans to light up Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta and San Antonio first -- makes only slightly more sense than releasing an LTE tablet that doesn't actually have LTE. Also still on the fence: Exactly what Android version will this thing be running, and what sort of special sauce will HTC bring to it? Anyhoo, the Android tablet machine marches on. This one whetting anyone's appetite just yet? Source: http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-puccini-tablet-goes-through-fcc
Jesus Diaz has such a huge hard on for apple it has it's own gravitational field.
Well on Vodafone up in Stockport (near Manchester), UK. I'm getting download speeds of about 6Mbps and uploads of about 3.5Mbps. I can't wait for the 4G rollout to begin, in about 4 years from now.
It makes me kind of sad that people over in the States have to worry about the radio in their phone. The carriers in Finland are forced to use the same GSM standard (I think the frequencies were like 800MHz, 900MHz and 1800MHz. If I'm wrong, it's probably the 800MHz one).
Just flashed CM7 for SGSII, it is bloody fantastic.
I'm not sure whether this is the right thread to ask this, but should I get Sensation or Galaxy SII?
If you expect any other answer than Galaxy S2, you are in bad luck.
